Not bad for the gyoza but I have had much better, nothing special here..Same good quality as buying good brand of frozen gyoza from the market. The Xiao Long Bao were very dry..I have never had soupless Xiao Long Bao, this was a disgrace. The noodle bowls though, there were good. The first one on the menu was also dry but the two other noodle bowls we have tried, which I posted photos of..Were good and not dry. Meat portion was okay, and taste was well-balanced. The Chinese sausages were good, the Beef Satay were okay. Dim sums were 4-5 euros for 3 pieces. Xiao Long Bao we’re small sized compared to usual. Noodle Bowls were about 13 euros.
However, the server was awful. Not only she was not friendly..She was hostile! She seemed very busy because of all the Uber delivery pick ups, but it’s not enough reason as she gives the energy “I just CANNOT be bothered.” We came in feeling unwanted. We could have ordered more things from the menu but she made us feel like she doesn’t want to do business for us. It was 3 of us, we entered and there was only a table for 2 available but the next table that was also for 2 persons only had 1 customer. The customer was kind enough to offer the spare chair so we can be seated, and the waitress blatantly expressed her disappointment blowing air through her mouth and the expression on her face like “whatever”. It was so rude! Unbelievable service. When I asked her to split the bill for the things we ordered, she was so rude to express “ugh this is so troubling for me” face and said, “I can’t do that”. Well of course you can. It’s just a matter of dividing the price we way sharing 3 meals for 2 persons. All restaurants do that, accommodating customers who split the bill. I’m still shaking my head as I write this, I have just had enough of outright rude servers. At this point I have had enough of her rudeness and told her how to do her job.
We left the cafeteria vibe restaurant with our jackets smelling bad oil scent. Brand new leather jacket and already smelling bad. Their kitchen probably has bad exhaust that’s why the waitress kept the door open, which made us cold.
So yes, bad dinning experience. I know it’s not fine dining but the hope is that even with street food restaurants, you leave feeling better than when you stepped in,...
Read moreThe xiao long bao is really bad... (obviously a cheap brand bought from the supermarket?) They were dry, juiceless, skin is thick and no spoon was provided (but i guess you don't need a spoon since there is no juice in this xiaolongbao). And in my photo you can see that the skin of one of the xiaolongbaos is already broken. The noodles are ok, but feels like something is lacking, maybe more vegetables or another ingredient. Halfway through the bowl, everything just tastes very salty and oily. Plus point- the beef satay is really good. And the restaurant is clean and...
Read moreMe and my friends didn't enjoy the food at all. They only have fried noodles and rice bowl. Fried noodles are toooooo mediocre, I can do it at home. What's more, the noodles are short noodles, it feels that they cut the noodles into half, which is strange for me..And the service is very slow for a working day lunch. Waiting a lot to order and waiting a bit to be served and waiting a lot...
