Karamara — Restaurant in Tours

The only Ethiopian in town, but luckily one of the best I've had outside of Ethiopia! The atmosphere is fantastic helped by a great service. Beware, depending on what and how much you order and the amount of people in the restaurant, you can be waiting for a while as the food is freshly made from scratch. Also, as it is an excellent and popular restaurant, I'd advise you to give them a call and book your table in advance to prevent any disappointment.

For those of you wanting to discover Ethiopian cuisine, don't hesitate asking for a sample of everything to share with everyone at your table.

We loved our Ethiopian dinner experience at Karamara tonight. I have traveled extensively in Ethiopia and this restaurant is truly authentic in its cuisine. The service was from, what appeared to be, a mother and daughter team and was very good. We had the samosas for an appetizer and then the traditional combination plate for 2. I visited this place with a friend at the beginning of june and was pleasantly surprised!!! The atmosphere is top notch, and all the decorations are so pretty. The staff is very welcoming and they recommended us some amazing dishes (tebs, ye feseg and beef samosas) which were so delicious and the meats were tender. Totally recommend and will for sure come back to try more...
