La Table Ronde — Restaurant in Tours

Chose this restaurant as we walked past! Booked table for later which proved fortunate as others were turned away Daughters had to take dogs to hotel and we were later than our allotted time no problem we were welcomed by the chef and ordered a house red wine which he chose for us after asking our preferences delicious!!! The starters were very French and different to any we had tasted before ~ we highly recommend the tomato and sea bass ! We all chose the beef with a sauce and home made chips to die for!!! The mayonnaise dip accompanied was wonderful too! Home made bread served throughout which was proving and baking in a large open oven as we ate Cannot fault the service and friendliness of the host and the presentation and taste of the food!!! You would be advised to book as people were turned away as we dined . Definitely 5 stars all...

We enjoyed our meal here. Service was friendly, atmosphere was also an interesting contrast to the very French meal presentations and experience, very fun.

My steak was a little overcooked because I ordered the wrong doneness so it got too chewy (smelled good though, and the fries were very good). My husband’s salmon was very nice, perfectly cooked crispy outside and tender inside, smelled great as well.

By the way I don’t eat foie gras but the foie gras here was very good so I realized I just got traumatized by bad foie gras in the past.

Service may be a little slow when it’s busy as they’re very lean in personnel, but if you don’t mind and are just a chill tourist enjoying a relaxing vacation, this place is...

We were looking for a authentic French restaurant and we were so happy to find this one! Great service, very friendly and helpful. We tried several dishes with wine recommended by the host and all was great! The cheese degustation is a separate experience - if you order a cheese plate for dessert, you get to choose 4 kinds of cheese from a beautiful wooden table. You get a presentation about the cheeses and help to reject the 4 according to your taste preferences. Home made ham on top of it was delicious as well.

The interior is very cozy and authentic, even the knight is adding to the atmosphere:)

We also loved the music.
