We stopped by before the hike to the Palace of Versailles to grab snacks. I got a ham and cheese that had a just right amount of a delectable smear of mustard while the rest of the family got sweets. The ladies laughed good naturedly at our terrible French and served us with a smile. Nothing but smiles and giggles while we slaughtered their beautiful language as we stumbled through their menu. One lady even gave our boys some delicious little fried donut pastries while waiting for my ham and cheese to heat. Needless to say every tasty crumb was long gone before making it to the Palace of Versailles. Read moreFirst time visiting and as soon as we walked through the door we were given the warmest of welcomes. The lady behind the counter had a smile from ear to ear. Sorry didnt get her name. She invited us to take our time to choose what we wanted and this is where our trouble started. The choice was incredible so we did take a little time to select 4 of breakfast pastries. We even were given a free sample of my new favourite pastry. Chouquettes i couldnt help buy a full bag. We then visited the palace of Versaii before returning for a light bite for a late lunch. Again the service food and atmosphere was incredible.

Read moreWe popped in for a baguette on Monday on the way to Versailles gardens- the girls were very helpful and friendly and the selection was wonderful. We sat in the gardens and ate our tuna baguette which was honestly the best I have ever eaten- crunchy on the outside and chewy inside, filled with delicious fillings. We then shared an apricot flan pastry with pistachio, followed by a cheeky little Portuguese tart - fortunately we then wandered around Versailles for the afternoon to walk it all off.
