From the moment I stepped into this charming creperie in Versailles, I knew I was in for a treat. The cozy and inviting atmosphere instantly transported me to a world of authentic French flavors and warm hospitality.
The menu boasted an impressive array of both savory and sweet crepes, each one more tempting than the last. After some careful consideration, I settled on a classic ham and cheese crepe, accompanied by a delightful side salad. The crepe was expertly crafted with the perfect balance of thinness and crispiness, and the combination of flavors was simply divine. It was clear that only the freshest and finest ingredients were used.
As for the sweet crepe, I indulged in a heavenly Nutella and banana combination. Every bite was a symphony of taste and texture, leaving me in pure bliss. The crepe itself was melt-in-your-mouth soft, and the generous spread of Nutella and the sweetness of the bananas made it an unforgettable experience.
The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who were more than happy to offer recommendations and ensure that I had everything I needed. The passion for crepes and French cuisine was evident in the way they took care of every detail.
To top it all off, the location of the creperie was ideal, just a stone's throw away from some of Versailles' most iconic landmarks. It made for the perfect stop during a day of exploring the city.
If you find yourself in Versailles, this creperie is an absolute must-visit. Whether you're a local or a traveler from afar, you'll be treated to an authentic taste of France that will leave you with a smile on your face and a satisfied appetite. I cannot wait to return and try more of their...
Read moreWe were here for dinner. The restaurant is crowded but waiter is able to allocate a table for us without much waiting even though we did not make an advance reservation. It is not very spacious and table size is small. There is not much space left after placement of the glasses and cutleries. It is only able to place 1 course at each time per pax. We ordered an Oriental Crepe and a Banana and Nutella Crepe. Both were delicious and we like the quality of the food that has been presented to us. All were made freshly on demand. Oriental crepe is served with grilled chicken that is well marinated. It complimented the crepe and fresh salad very well. Banana and Nutella Crepe is a classic selection and we were satisfied by the quality of the sweet crepe being soft, chewy but not overly sweet. Patrons may wish to check the availability of the ciders as there are some we have been advised unavailable at the time of order even though there is a wide variety to choose from. Nonetheless there is always draft options for selection. The waiters are attentive and friendly, they are also able to converse in english (basic). At the midst of dining, one of them came up to us to check if food is up to our liking. At the end during billing, we have also been asked the same. We like that the waiters are keen and sincere to be assured that customers leave satisfied. Such kind gesture is greatly appreciated and set as an example other eateries can model. Well done to the team at Jeanne. We will be back again for the...
Read moreCrepes were good, but unfortunately that’s where the praise must stop.
The service went beyond being lax by French standards and veered into careless. We were never given glasses for our water, but then we saw another server setting out glasses at all of the empty tables. The employees had glasses to drink out of for themselves, but did not check in with us. We were not hidden in some corner of the restaurant but we were right across from the bar where the employees were congregating and hanging out, chatting. I understand not feeling invested while working at a restaurant, but it also seemed all the workers went on a smoke break at once and were absent for the rest of our visit.
The bathroom was not sanitary.
Additionally, we were seated by wall art that depicted a variety of American pop culture icons. This included Martin Luther King Jr., the joker, and bart simpson. This struck us as in rather poor taste.
At the end of it all, the establishment permitted you to pay by scanning the QR code and using the website. This was certainly faster than waiting for a server to come. However, the app recommended adding on a 4€ tip, for reasons unclear to all in our party.
Again, the crepes were fine. If there is a take-away option, it is highly recommended you...
