This was by far the worst experience of my life during all my visits to France — in this case, Versailles. My husband, my daughter, and I stopped here after visiting the Palace, and what should have been a pleasant lunch turned into a disaster. We were greeted by a very young waitress who was kind and polite. Unfortunately, she was accompanied by an older woman who was clearly in a bad mood, rude, and dismissive. We ordered a piña colada, a mojito, and a glass of champagne. When the young waitress returned, she also carried an Aperol for another table. While serving, she accidentally dropped the tray, and all of the drinks spilled directly on us. We were soaked — our clothes, shoes, my bag, and even my hat were completely drenched. The young waitress was nervous but very apologetic. We reassured her that accidents happen and asked for paper towels, which she quickly brought. She did her best to help, and we appreciated her effort. While I went to the restroom to clean up, my husband and daughter asked her if we could move to another table since ours was wet and covered with glass. The young waitress agreed. Then the older woman returned, rudely tapped her fingernail on the table, and ordered my family to get up because the table was “reserved.” My husband tried to explain our situation, which was obvious, but she insisted in a harsh and unfriendly manner. When I came back, I asked to speak with a manager. She coldly told me she was the manager. She never apologized, never offered any help, and instead turned her back and walked away, leaving me talking to myself. This experience ruined what should have been a beautiful lunch after visiting such a magnificent place. We made sure to tell the young waitress that none of this was her fault — she was kind and tried her best. But the older waitress, who claimed to be the manager, was shockingly rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. We left soaked, humiliated, and deeply disappointed. The bad part: We ordered the chateaubriand (x2) and there it was after 5 minutes. Inside of the meat perfect, outside a bit burned. We had some bread with butter and the bread definitely wasn’t fresh as well.
The desserts on the menu are looking great, but better skip them: The creme brulé, totally burned on top and as hard as a rock. When telling the waitress she only laughed and said sorry.
The french toast á lá mami Monique straight from the microwave with a scoop of ice cream on top.. The reason why it was already on the table within 5 minutes after the main.
When we were enjoying and finishing our bottle of wine, they directly came with the bill what gave us the feeling of: you are finished, go out.
Overall a big skip, especially when you have way more cossy places when you walk...

Pourtant nous avions fait les choses dans les règles! Table réservée sur un dimanche soir pour trois couverts, à 20h30,la salle à manger à notre arrivée nous semble déserte , une douzaine de convives répartie sur trois ou quatre tables, la salle pouvant en contenir une bonne soixantaine! Pas d’accueil, ou presque pas..! Nous avons le sentiment de déranger... Commande des apéritifs prise en nous laissant les cartes ainsi que celle des vins !! bon.. Nous donnons dans le maximum de ce que peut proposer cet établissement de renom (voir facture ci jointe).. Les st jacques, à fuir , avec deux gros toasts croisés dans votre assiette, en plein centre de celle ci, Ah !les coquilles sont sur le côté! Sèches comme un coup de trique, aucune saveur, aucun moelleux, pas de sauce, si ce n'est qu'un petit tas de fromage blanc, déposé (sans être moulé), sur le côté droit de l'assiette.... Donc plat d'entrée, avec supl. des plus conséquents, sera à éviter.. Je mets sans retour un carton rouge à la cuisine, je ne parlerai pas de chef car pour moi il ne brille que par son absence. Au passage le service ne brille pas non plus! Les serveuses chaussées par une célèbre marque de sport ( N..e ) sont affairées à servir un banquet dans le salon qui se trouve à l'étage.. la suite des plats, (car nous avions pris: entrées, plats, et desserts.. ) ce sera" booof " la sauce, qui accompagne le homard grillé, mérite tout juste de rejoindre la gamelle de mon chat..! Pas de garnitures avec ce plat, pourtant un peu de riz, ou de piperade, (chaude ou froide), aurait été apprécié! Il n'en est rien. je passe sur le dessert... Nous aurions tant souhaité pouvoir déguster les "fameuses" crêpes Suzette de la maison (désert phare de la maison), sur la carte, qui elles aussi, n'ont brillé que par leur absence, sous prétexte que, trop occupés ce weekend, ils n'avaient pas eu le temps de faire ... la pâte à crêpes. AH! une bte de vin a 70,00€ dans un seau à champagne sur la table sans doublure en dessous (une assiette), dont je me suis occupé pour le service... Résultat: après avoir laissé trois cent balles sur une table qui, n'avait pas de molleton, avec des assiettes ébréchées, sans un salut, un merci , ni même un au revoir de la part du "maitre d’hôtel", pour nous ce sera ADIEU! C'est sans surprise que l'établissement ait perdu son appellation...
