Sushi Shop Versailles Marché — Restaurant in Versailles

This restaurant is very welcoming and accommodating. We were a group of 6 and one baby in a stroller. They pushed a few tables together and sat us immediately. The sushi was great! Very good quality fish. Customer service/hospitality was wonderful. They had a few menus in English, which was appreciated.

There's a block of restaurants next to this restaurant, but none of the others would accommodate a group of 6. We were grateful this restaurant was willing to seat us. We love sushi, so it worked out.

5 unhelpful staff chatted inside while we struggled with the unfathomable menu. The first staff member explained the place was closing in 30 minutes, so to please hurry with our order. The second visit came 5 minutes later (once we'd picked our choices) relaying a decision from the manager that we could now only choose from the minimal lunchtime menu. Rude. Overpriced. Lazy. Arrogant. Mr Manager -you deserve all this.

There are much cheaper better places. As with most places, avoid the squares/plazas as you can expect to be taken...

The sushi was amazing, the seaweed salad was also great, you can mix your own soy sauce here, from salty and sweet. We didn't order takeaway, we ate at the restaurant but they didn't give us plates ( I don't think they even have any) and it was very hard to eat from a small box at a very small table, also the cashier seemed very annoyed by us and felt like he just wanted us to eat and leave fast. I'm not sure I'd recommend if you want to sit in, but for takeout...
