Honest opinion as an Asian. Of course, I do not expect them to be authentic. But the quality of food, you can easily tell.
Chef is very friendly and skillful. I feel bad for him to work with poor quakity products. It sucks that the Chinese owner as usual, cheap out on the quality of foods.
I ordered Spicy orange chicken because korean chickens were not available. I requested extra spicy and the chef did it very well and the spicy level was on point. Then, I ordered rice on the side. Terrible. Rice is cooked fine. Spoiled and I could totally smell and taste the rice was poorly stored and low quality. Possibly spoiled. I had four scoops and I could not tolerate the smell. I had to just let him know.
Will I come back? Possibly no. Maybe I would stop by to say hi to the chef.
With Georgian pricing standard, it is mediocre.
Environment is more like izakaya style.
Overall, I would never trust Google reviews in Georgia. Sometimes, I miss asian food so I try but after trying 4 places, now I came to the conclusion that you can safely ignore any asian restaurants in Georgia. If you miss asian foods, then go get frozen khinkali and soy sauce with peppers. That is the closest and the best asian food you could enjoy in Georgia.
I shouldn't have been charged for that disgusting rice.
If the chef was not nice then this place would be...

I got the orange chicken and pad thai with shrimp/prawns a couple weeks back and it was really bad. The orange chicken was dry, stale and had an odd spongy texture and the pad thai was extremely sweet with an odd flavor to them.
I lived in china for years and frequently visited thailand (bangkok, hat yai, rayong and phuket) for weeks, if not months at a time because the flights to there were cheap and my vacations were lengthy so I’ve had alot of thai and chinese/ asian fusion dishes (in china and in the US as well) and this was not great at all. Im not saying that the food has to be authentic because the restaurant is in western asia so of course the taste may be different or some tweaks may be needed maybe due to a lack of familiar ingredients etc leading to a difference in taste but it was just very bad. The flavor on the orange chicken was good (thus the one star with regards to the food) but the texture? Nope.
Rated it 3 stars overall because I liked the staff and the ambiance but the food wasn’t...
Read moreI'm an Asian foodie and eat all types of Asian food, from Korean to Vietnamese to Indonesian. here's my honest review:
It's the only Asian food place in the area, and that's so great when I crave Asian food. Some of the food is authentic, some not authentic tasting. Usually Thai taste is very hard to replicate as it has fresh/ bright, sour, sweet, spicy, salty and savoury together - so I understand they can't hit the mark exactly. BUT it is much better than the other Thai restaurants that are absolutely terrible near Old Tbilisi! The rest of the dishes like the Korean chicken and kimchi stew are fine.
The price is standard price for Asian food in Georgia as it's more rare, so I understand it.
The restaurant is small and very stuffy, the oily air sticks to clothes. This is common in a lot of Georgian establishments, but I think it would greatly improve if you had some sort of ventilation system.
The owner is warm, humble and friendly!
Overall, a good place to eat Asian food if you are missing it, but not the...
