Öz Urfa 1988 Aachen — Restaurant in Aachen

A very disappointing racist restaurant. I purposely came to this restaurant with a friend because other Chinese people recommended it. The shop assistant offered to show us something , I was looking forward to it and he uttered, Ching Chang Chong . Today is my 429th day living in Germany and I have never heard anyone say this very obvious racist sentence to me. My friend and I are both girls and I wonder if this waiter would have said this to us if we were both strong men who are 180 tall. Would he have dared? I love Aachen and this shop is a disgrace to Aachen. I can't believe that this waiter didn't realise that this word means racist, but he said it anyway. He thought the word was funny, but I don't think it was a joke, the premise of a joke should be that both parties find it funny. Instead, a man insulting two girls in a jokey way is disgusting. My friend and I won't be coming back and not only that, I'm going to post this restaurant on Chinese social media. I guarantee you that this racist restaurant will not be patronised by Chinese...

Wir waren heute zum Frühstücksbuffet zu Gast. Die Bedienung/der Service war sehr freundlich, allerdings nicht sehr aufmerksam aufgrund des hohen Kundenaufkommens. Frisches Fladenbrot und Tee wurden an den Tisch serviert. Beides war köstlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet wurde im vorderen seitlichen Eckbereich aufgebaut. Insgesamt wirkte es etwas beengt. Das Frühstücksbuffet selbst war sehr überschaubar, aber frisch. Spiegelei oder einfaches Rührei gab es nicht. Es gab lediglich Sucuk-Rührei (für Vegetarier ungeeignet). Warm wurde zudem eine Suppe angeboten sowie gebratene Aubergine, Würstchen in Tomatensauce sowie zwei weitere kleine nicht vegetarischen Gerichte. Es gab türkischen Aufschnitt, Käse, Mozzarella, 3 unterschiedliche Dips, Quark, Oliven (grün und schwarz), Datteln, Baklava und Milchreis. Tomaten-/Gurken-Stücke gab es wohl zu Beginn des Buffets, wurde allerdings nicht aufgefüllt. Gefüllte Börekröllchen sowie fritierte Kartoffelscheiben gab es ebenfalls. Abgepackt wurde Butter, Honig, Marmelade und Nusscreme angeboten. Eine Obstplatte (frisch, nicht aufgeschnitten oder portioniert) war ebenfalls vorhanden. 3 Getränkespender mit Apfelsaft, Osaft und Wasser standen nebenan zur Selbstbedienung. Am Buffet wurden ausschließlich kleinste Dessertteller angeboten. Der Brotkorb wurde weder automatisch aufgefüllt noch wurde uns angeboten diesen aufzufüllen. Tee ebenso wenig. Auf explizite Bitte hin wurde Tee freundlich gebracht. Das Buffet selbst wurde nur sehr schleppend und unzureichend aufgefüllt. Insgesamt wurden wir satt, es war lecker und frisch, wiederkommen werden wir zum Frühstück jedoch nicht. Dazu bietet Aachen für uns bessere Alternativen. I don’t know how this place doesn’t have 5 stars on Google. It was one of the best Turkish restaurants I’ve been to. The food was good but the service was outstanding! They gave me an extra salad and Turkish tea for free in the end. Also served complimentary dips. I was not expecting this considering that the restaurant is quite nicely decorated and a proper sit down dinner. The prices were quite affordable for the venue too.
