Saigon Village — Restaurant in Augsburg

If I could give the service 0 stars I would.

There was ONLY ONE WAITER in the entire restaurant. When the waiter got to us and gave us our menu cards he made a snarky comment on me having “something better to do than order” (i was texting). That already started it off wrong. My colleagues and I waited 40min to place our order!!! Each time that only waiter in the whole restaurant passed by, he told us “I haven’t forgotten you” even though he served new customers already and even though he knew we were rushing. He remarked he must serve the “regular customers” first. ???!!! Once the 40min have passed, we were nearing our time to leave. By then the restaurant was practically empty. They were also closing it for a lunch break. The waiter got to us and we ordered. We waited for the order another 1hour. Allas- the food came. BUT WAIT! 3/4 ordered meals were mixed up and my colleagues didn’t get the meal they ordered. The waiter said he’d bring them back and make new ones, yet it already was too late and we had to get going. I ate my meal quickly and when it came to pay, the waiter seemed annoyed I wasn’t going to give him a tip. I don’t know who had the idea to place only one waiter for an entire restaurant. Furthermore, he made a snarky comment about us “having to adjust to the restaurant schedule” and come aT least 1 hour before we would order…… Yes of course great idea! only that we were on a time limit and we picked this restaurant at random because we were interested in the courses offered. We never planned to go there in advance! The waiter seemed very snarky rude and unbothered. Terrible service!!! Don’t bother going if you’re on at least a 2hour time limit if you want to wait so long! Such a pitty, because the atmosphere and food seemed to have potential at...

The restaurant looks nice from the inside, the service was fast and friendly, and the food was nicely presented. Going to the toilet was unpleasant as you have to squeeze past the backs of chairs with people sitting on them. It was full of customers. Unfortunately, I would guess that the popularity is based on customers who do not know the difference between good and average-tasting Vietnamese food. The food did not taste any better than the average cheap Asia Imbisses, of which there are plenty in Augsburg. There are Asia Restaurants in Augbsurg, where the food tastes a whole class better then here, but for the same price range. The next day, we visited a normal Asia Imbiss on the way to a cinema evening. The food cost mor or less exactly half of what we paid in Saigon Village, we had more space to sit without being cramped, and the food was absolutely delicious. We definitely wont go to Saigon Village again, or recommend it to others. To recap: average-tasting food, well-presented but far more expensive than imbiss...

Saftladen!

Ich war mit einer Gruppe von 8 Personen gestern Abendessen. Allerdings sind ein paar Probleme aufgetreten, die ich nicht auf mir sitzen lassen möchte. Ich schreibe normalerweise keine Bewertungen, aber hier muss ich leider eine Bewertung hinterlassen.

Toilette Ich bin auf das Männerklo gegangen, allerdings gab es dort in der Kabine bei der Kloschüssel kein Licht, sodass ich die Handytaschenlampe als Licht benutzen musste. Es kam mir so vor als würde das Restaurant schon an Stromkosten sparen...

Cola-Weizen Ich wollte nur ein Cola-Weizen bestellen, ich wusste aber nicht, dass es so schwierig ist... Der Kellner meinte: Dafür musst du eine Cola und ein Weizen kaufen, da ansonsten Restbestände übrig bleiben. Diese Aussage habe ich dann verstanden und darauf bestellt. Dann bringt mir der Kellner ein befülltes Weizenglas und eine volle Flasche Cola aber kein weiteres Weizenglas dazu zum Mischen. Ich habe mir das befüllte Weizenglas genau angeschaut und habe Lippenstift am Glasrand entdeckt... Anscheinend ist dort "SPÜLEN" ein Fremdwort... Danach kam ein anderer Kellner und hat mir die Cola und das befüllte Weizenglas genommen und meinte "Ich mache dir ein Cola-Weizen". Danach habe ich ein Cola-Weizen erhalten. Kommen wir aber nun zur Bezahlung... Auf der Rechnung stand, dass ich die Cola noch zahlen muss, obwohl mir der andere Kellner die Cola weggenommen hat. Das habe ich dann schließlich nicht eingesehen. Warum sollte ich für eine Cola bezahlen die ich nicht gesehen habe?! Und außerdem kam der Kellner frech auf mich zu als würde er sich drüber lustig machen mit dem Satz "Und? Möchtest du noch ein Cola-Weizen"

Bezahlung Ich habe mein Essen und Trinken bezahlt und habe bei dem Kellner nie etwas von Trinkgeld erwähnt. Er hat mir kein Rückgeld gegeben. Erst nach einer Aufforderung habe ich mein Rückgeld erhalten. Rechnerische Kenntnisse sind bei der Ausgabe vom Rückgeld leider nicht vorhanden. Den Bewirtungsbeleg habe ich nie gesehen, obwohl ich ihn angefordert habe. Bei den anderen Personen gab es auch Probleme bei der Bezahlung. Der Kellner war ungefähr bei der Hälfte der Gruppe beim Kassieren angekommen und meinte dann folgendes: "Ich komme sofort wieder, ich muss Gerichte herausbringen"... Es ist einfach nur eine Frechheit den Kunden länger warten zu lassen. Man möchte aus dem Laden gehen aber muss wegen so einem Dudelhuber warten! Die Bezahlung hat bestimmt 20 Minuten gedauert für 8 Personen...

Musik Die Musik war viel zu laut und man konnte sich nicht mal richtig mit der Person gegenüber unterhalten. Außerdem wurden immer die gleichen 5 Lieder abgespielt und wiederholt... In ein Restaurant gehe ich um mich zu unterhalten und nicht um Stille Post zu spielen.

Wäre ich nicht in der Gruppe gewesen, wäre ich direkt aufgestanden und gegangen.

Bei der Bewertung hat für mich das Restaurant nicht mal ein Stern verdient.
