All Blue — Restaurant in Baden-Baden

You must not miss out on their fish soup! The ingredients had a mix of seafood (fish, clams, squid, etc.) and fresh herbs; soothing for the senses during a cold, rainy day. The salmon sushi and yellow fin tuna sushi had very basic elements yet was still very flavorful and balanced with a good ratio of rice-fish. We were already feeling full, but had already ordered their calamari dish that had rice in coconut milk with fresh herbs. The portion looked overwhelming at first, but the more we ate it the harder it was to put our utensils down; it tasted a little bit of an infusion of the fish soup with rice and coconut milk, so if you skip out on the soup, don't skip out on this. The waitress was incredibly kind, courteous, and very hospitable without being too invasive. One rule of thumb when eating in this place, or Baden Baden in general, is not to make too much noise when talking over 60 decibels or videocall someone during your meal; the locals will politely ask you to end your video call and remind you that you are in...

As a Japanese, I was at first let down to find that the Japanese theme of the restaurant was not matched by the kitchen staff, but I how naive I was. The passion and belief of the restaurant owner is clearly distilled into the fine works of this restaurant. Truly “new” seafood cuisine I have never encountered because the dishes goes far beyond the traditional boundaries of cutting edge Japanese cuisine, it incorporates the best of all the worlds the owner and Chef have encountered to create something truly exciting, new and exceptional. As in the words of the owner the restaurant is “all blue” a mythical ocean where all fishes of the world exist. Breaking all boundaries and conversations which are limiting some cuisines from apparently discovering a new horizon which is found in this restaurant. Truly fascinating! All Blue is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Every single dish was a flavor explosion – from the melt-in-your-mouth sushi to the perfectly cooked beef slider and the insanely fresh tartare on sourdough. The quality of ingredients? Next level.

And the highlight? Chef Tuan cooked for us personally – an absolute legend! You can taste the passion and precision in every bite. The man knows what he’s doing.

The ambiance is cozy yet elegant, with candlelight and stylish plates that make the food stand out even more. Perfect spot for a date night or a special dinner with friends.
