An absolute gem in the heart of Bamberg! Bamberger Hörnla has been around since 1427, and you can really feel the tradition and history the moment you walk in. The place is beautiful, the products are so well presented, and everything tastes fantastic.

Their breads and pastries are simply on another level – rich in flavour, perfectly baked, and you can tell they use natural sourdoughs and long fermentation to achieve that depth of taste. From local Bamberg specialties to classics like pretzels and baguettes, everything we tried was outstanding.

When traveling I’m always, always looking for the best bakeries. Cafe’ Hörnla, exceeded my expectations. The cafe’ was utterly “gemütlich“ a wonderful easy ambience, with some excellent food. I ordered a walnut bread cheese sandwich and was brought this amaaaaazing slice of very seedy/nutty bread topped with a lovely salad, shredded carrots, cheese and what seemed a white pesto made with walnuts and olive oil. Delicious! I proceeded to order an Erdbeer Kuchen, a quintessential summer cake, and a surprisingly good cappuccino. Could not have been more satisfied!!! The staff was lovely...

Ok, natürlich sehr gerne! 🙂 Beim Bummeln durch's schöne Bamberg bin ich ganz zufällig auf das wunderbare Café Hörnla gestoßen und war an allen Tagen meines kurzen Urlaubs hier zu Gast. 😍 Der Laden an sich eine Augenweide: ansprechend, aufgeräumt, Welcome-Atmosphäre und freundlicher Service. Das Angebot 😃 genau mein Style! 👍 Vegane, vegetarische Angebote, man kann frühstücken, tolle Kuchen - auch mal die einfachen, wie Gewürzschnitte oder Marmorkuchen. 😋😋 Zuerst wählt man an der Bedientheke die Dinge aus, die man gern speisen und trinken möchte und bezahlt. Manche Teilchen werden auf Wunsch gern erwärmt. Dann sucht man sich im Café-Bereich seinen Sitzplatz, wobei alle Tische mit einer durchsichtigen, aufgestellten Trennwand geschützt sind.
