The place is casual looking and cute. But the food and overall experience was unfortunately the worst we had in a fine dining place. Especially considering that the prices were higher than most other fine dinings in the city. The staff looked bored and didn’t even fake smile through the whole extremely long 4 hours that we felt like we were being held captive. They accidentally broke one of the dishes and didn’t even attempt to change it. Moreover, at the start of evening we mentioned that we don’t drink alcohol and only later found out (when dishes being presented) that 2 of them contained alcohol (the menu also didn’t explicitly mention this). The menu also didn’t mention pork (at least in English or German) and while we were asked about allergies specifically in the beginning, we were not asked about any other food restrictions- this is not such a small nuance considering the large community of Muslim immigrants in Berlin and should have been again explicitly covered either in the menu or by the waiters. The visual representation of the dishes was also quite weak and the tastes were mediocre at best (especially compared to any other fine dining place we had previously tried). Almost all of the bites tasted similar (acidic - vinegary due to similar ingredients in the sauces). And yes waiting for 4 hours...
Read moreWe went during the week and it was semi busy. From the outside it looks a bit like a normal bar. First thing I noticed was the “fry/ oil” smell from the kitchen ventilation that goes through the restaurant and out facing the main street. Usually the kitchen hood leads to the backyard so that was a bit of a turn off. I am all about details sorry 😅
Friendly staff, the dishes were all interesting and well composed.
I kind of just didn’t really like the ambient, the colors (red) and black table, the darkness of the restaurant. It’s a bit casual, the art also didn’t make sense to me. Too many things were distracting from the food which should have the spotlight.
Music selection was off and also the same 10 tracks played all the time. I kinda maybe expected the music selection to be a bit more currated and not Amy winehouse.🙄 When you eat it’s mainly about the food but all the other senses also are stimulated. It’s an art to balance all these.
All in all I recommend this place because the food is very good and the chef is very sympathetic kind person who is dedicated to his work. You should try...

Absolutely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Berlin. 136 Restaurant combines authentic Peruvian flavors with a modern, creative twist — every dish feels like a piece of art. As a peruvian myself (and after eating a lot of ceviche variations) I can say that the ceviche in 136 was one of my favorite! It was perfectly balanced, fresh and full of flavor, like all the other dishes, which truly showcase the chef’s talent and understanding of Peruvian and Italian cuisine. The atmosphere is stylish yet cozy, and the service is warm and attentive, you can feel the passion behind everything they do. If you love discovering new culinary experiences, this is the place for top-quality Peruvian fusion in Berlin. Highly recommended — I can’t wait to...
