I've enjoyed very much my evening at Bar Neiro, the staff was absolutely lovely and accommodating, the space is nice and sets the mood for the "listening" experience its concept promotes. In fact, for who didn't know and happens to read this review: it's a listening bar! Me, my partner and a bunch of other people really wished everyone in the room knew that, as some groups were being particularly loud until we communicated (nicely) the whole idea behind the place, and asked (again: very nicely) if they could speak a bit more softly. So here my suggestion would be: if that's really the concept you wanna give to your space, especially on that sort of night where the music selection is curated and attracts people who are interested in it and come specifically for it--perhaps it should be briefly communicated to everyone who enters that evening, or seems to be a little louder, as this might affect negatively the experience of some of us. I need to mention: I was there on a Saturday evening some weeks ago, and still both me and my partner could very much enjoy ourselves. The atmosphere and the music selection were really great. If you're looking for a cozy but immersive experience, I guess listening bars--and this one specifically, might be your thing. We tried a few cocktails from the drinklist, some were okay, some I didn't like. I think if you're very much into drinking your expectations shouldn't be too high here, but for the Berlin standard it was okay, even a bit higher than average. Price wise it was also fair. As I mentioned the staff was lovely and gave us the chance to switch seats when we asked to and there were less people, later in the night. They also gave us recommendations on drinks and were very professional and friendly! Overall: very recommended! Will try to go there during the week...
Read moreHonestly, my visit at Bar Neiro left me speechless. This is not only a bar. This is sensory self-care, when appreciated consciously. It’s not the typical bar next door, you’ll only find it on purpose. Reaching for the entrance itself is part of the journey. It’s a longer “way”, in the end you leave behind your day and dive into an isolated living room-like space. Go there and you’ll understand what I mean.
At Bar Neiro it’s all about listening. Not music consumption but active listening. A phenomenal ex-movie-theatre sound system is filling the room with a never before experienced quality of sound. The bar staff is putting on selected vinyl playing them full length. The whole room is keeping hundreds of albums and records so chances are high, you will get new music to your ears every time you go.
Great music paired with great drinks. The attention to detail and quality with the craft of cocktail making and the drinks itself are simply perfect. Even though for the moment there are just close to 10 cocktails and a couple of wines on the menu, nothing was missing. Also, ask for a good Japanese Whisky or Sake ;)
On top of everything the service was very very warm, attentive and welcoming. You always have a water with you. Either having a good chat about music and drinks or giving just the right amount of space to be with the music only, they tactfully make the magic happen.
Thanks to Jeff and Viktoria for a sensational night!...

Well hidden in the inner yard, behind iron doors and in an old building on an upper floor, this bar plays with a Japanese theme for the decor and the cocktail creations. Sometimes you can also catch a contemporary Japanese jazz track playing through design hifi speakers.
📻Almost psychedelic jazz of rare vinyls accompanied by a glass of a masterful gin fizz will carry you far from the present moment.
🙏 Thanks to the personnel running this place, I have truly enjoyed my experience.
This was a nice start of the night, before going to Tresor, historical...
