It started strong - the steak tartar starter was good. The service was friendly.
We each ordered the steak for a main dish and they arrived looking very different. My partner’s steak had been seared on the grill while mine looked pink and unfinished as if they’d forgotten to grill it. It was weird for these to be brought out at the same time and have such an obvious difference in appearance be overlooked. The steak also didn’t have any flavour; we had to rely on the side sauce and salt for flavour. The side vegetables were sad and bland. The side falafel was embarrassingly bad for being in Berlin. In general, the main dish looked and tasted like it had been left under a heat lamp… just desaturated, wilted, or tough to eat. Service was the best I have ever meet, I can't remember a place with such professional and kind staff, they made me definately feel like a king. Food was a journey of tastes.. We started with aubergine (vegan) and kalb semerrolle thunfisch. Nice grilled combined with crispy greens. The main dishes were 2erlei vom US short Rib served with delicious gratinate potato, smoothie wonderfull broccoli morse and crispy grilled broccoli and as an extra point of the dish the vanilla gelatine creating an unforgettable ending for the mouth in every single bite. Aber zunächst das Schöne hervorheben: der Servicemitarbeiter gestern am Abend hat wirklich alles gegeben! Sehr sehr höflich, fast schon etwas zu viel des Guten. Es war Gott sei Dank kaum was los - er war nämlich ganz alleine. Und man hat aus der Ecke ohne Fenster hinter den Aufzügen “ambiente-technisch” alles herausgeholt. Ein Mü zu hell fand ich (Licht sicher dimmbar😉).
Zum Essen (deswegen waren wir ja da): Tatar sooooooo mini mini. Hui. Ochsenschwanz Ragout geschmacklich echt gut, aber der gesamte Teller völlig überladen. Tonnen essbarer Deko. Die Häuptgänge: das Filet … autsch. War das gekocht? Hmmm…. also da gibt es in der City West mind. 5 tolle Steakhäuser wo man ein grandiosen ehrliches Filet bekommt. Mein Onglet schmeckte gut. Punkt. Hätte gerne mehr Sauce gehabt. Die Trüffel Pommes wurden vergessen - als sie dann kamen, waren wir 2/3 fertig.
Ganz ganz sicher ausbaufähig. Ggf Personalmangel in der Küche. Eine Empfehlung mag ich jedoch nicht...
