I've been getting bread and buns here since they opened many, many years ago and it is still my go-to place for bread and weekend delights (Splitterbrötchen und Kümmelseele).

When I lived abroad, I would bring their bread and freeze it to make sure I always had great bread available. Apparently it's a German thing. 😉

They have a large selection of vegan treats (all marked clearly in the shop and on their website). They sell coffee, some groceries and sandwiches.

The prices are relatively high; bread is around €4-5, Seelen are €1,40 and Splitterbrötchen €1. Since the pandemic, it's finally possible to pay by card, although there is a minimum spend. I believe it's €5.

The staff are generally friendly, but unfortunately they do not gauge demand well. It's happened several times that we've been there early on a Saturday morning (around 8am or 9am) and they had already run out of the...

Huge place with plenty of sitting possibilities inside and outdoors, with a good variety of pastry, bread, snacks, coffee and other drinks. The banana-walnut cake was delicious and the cappuccino alright. The prices are ok. There is water for free to have, while enjoying a coffee or likewise. Besides, you can find a children's "corner" with a table, chair and books. Very nice! The atmosphere was a bit reserved and staff could have been a bit friendlier, at least sharing a smile. Unfortunately, this was not given. Altogether an interesting place to have coffee, cake and other snacks, e.g. soup, at, but the service must improve so guest are happy to return. Well, try it out and share...

A great bakery which offers a variety of meals from Monday to Friday as well. Some dishes may be not as large as expected so the price may appear relatively high. But overall they do offer quality and organic ingredients. There is a salad bar as well. The pastry is fine, the coffee instead needs improvement in it's preparation. Toilets are nearby in the same building and clean. There is a ramp for disabled if I can...
