FALCO´SLICE — Restaurant in Berlin

Had dinner here today with my girlfriend.

First of all, the service:

After we ordered, we waited for over 40 minutes, while people who arrived after us were served within minutes. Then the waiter appeared to clarify our order because it somehow “got lost” in the kitchen. After that, we had to wait another 20 minutes without anything happening. At least we got another drink for free. When our pizza finally arrived, 50% of the toppings were wrong and totally different from what we ordered, but we were hungry, so we ate the pizza anyway. When paying, the waiter told us we would get a discount for our trouble, but she billed us the full amount anyway, which I only recognized at home.

Now the food:

I would rate this pizza as average at most. The vegan salami (which was incorrectly brought to our table) tasted bad. The vegan tuna was okayish (also not what we ordered). The truffle and mushroom pizza was good but nothing special, and the pesto pizza was also only average. Overall, the pizza is far from what you would expect for a pizza costing 32€.

The pizza was incredible. We shared an entire one between three people and that was still a lot of pizza for each. My favourites were definitely the king oyster mushrooms on white sauce and the pistacchio pesto on tomato sauce. The dough was perfectly cooked, crispy with a good thinness while still retaining a satisfying chew. The tomato sauce was perfectly seasoned and tastes really fruity, fresh and for a lack of a better term tomato-y. But the highlight to me has to be the white sauce which was so incredibly creamy and garlicy + bonus points for being vegan. The tiramisus were also delicious, especially the pistacchio one. The service was friendly and welcoming. They even offered us shots on the house. The atmosphere was cozy and lively. I'll definetly return and try...

Do not recommend if you only want pizza and not a drink. The service was so weird that it made my whole experience bad. First he was really kind and gave us extra time to think about what we would like to order. Ordering the different slices was also no problem but after I said I didn't want a drink he rolled his eyes and gave a really snappy attitude.

Like sorry I came for pizza and honestly eating out having pizza was expensive enough for me as a student. I don't need to feel bad for not ordering a drink.
