Good Morning Monday — Restaurant in Berlin

Rudest, most impolite and hostile personnel, especially the manager.

We told our friends to meet us there, then we were told we cannot sit more than 4 people on the table and we cannot order more than 4 people at once! So we agreed to order before they arrive and we agreed that no other chairs will be reserved for our friends but there were empty chairs in the table next to us and we told the waitress that if our friends arrive before they are taken then they will just sit on them. But what happened was that once our friends arrived and sat on the empty chairs, the waitress objected, because we moved the empty chairs closer to our table, even though we did what we agreed upon. We even sat one of our kids on our lap so as not to have too many chairs at the table. Then the manager comes and the first thing he does was to blurt out the most impolite and aggressive words before he tells us to leave the restaurant! He also pretends that there were other clients on a waiting list who need to take the chairs that our friends sat on, which was clearly not true. Very unpleasant place.. I regretted having gone there on a nice Saturday morning. I had chosen it for the high rating it got. But the most basic thing in a restaurant is being treated with respect. My wife and I were visiting from Toronto, Canada and staying in the area. We decided to have brunch at this cute spot as our first breakfast in Berlin and we were extremely impressed. My wife's coffee was delicious and this is also where my love affair with Club Mate started! She ordered the the 3 fried eggs with garlic sausage and the sausage was really good! I ordered the Scandinavian breakfast which is poached eggs with smoked salmon on brioche. When the server brought over our food, Ooo's and Ahh's escaped our mouthed to which she replied,"that's not all!" She then brought over the fresh fruit, salad and slices of bread that equaled half a loaf of bread over to us that were included in our meal. All this in addition to the green olive appetizers that were on our table! Incredible value for the price and the food was divine! I know it's just bread but it was high quality, dense and delicious! I recommend this place to anyone as there are many options no matter your dietary choices. Thank you giving us a beautiful start to our stay in Gorli Park area. We will absolutely be back to stay in the area and will be coming to have brunch...

My boyfriend and I came to Berlin from Sunday night til Monday evening with a 2.5 year old who has a lot of allergies and food sensitivities, and we are also plant based. I found this place and decided to give it a try cause of all the great reviews.

We got here and immediately were greeted with genuine happy faces and no issues with speaking English. The staff was all incredibly patient and kind to my son. And the food was absolutely amazing and fulfilling for all 3 of us, and we were able to find plenty things on the menu for my son. The fruits were fresh and ripe, the bread was spectacular, the coffee was strong and sweet. The hummus and avocado dips were delicious.

No one cared that my son was running around the terrace with his car and hugging everybody. The staff was absolutely fantastic!

I personally did not like Berlin itself. Not my type of city. But this cafe was the absolute highlight of our road-trip! When we have to be in Berlin again we will...
