Hotel Klassik Berlin — Hotel in Berlin

This is , by far , the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in . Let’s skip all the small things like rudeness of the personnel , lack of guiding signs and zero sound isolation . You can see something like this in many hotels , so I wouldn’t even bother . But when at 4 a.m. the door of you room suddenly opens and somebody walks in (!) , you realize that your choice of hotel was horribly wrong . Fortunately , it was just two drunk guys who missed their door and somehow opened mine with their card key . After realizing their mistake , they just laughed and went away . Without knowing what might come in their drunk heads (they could think that it would be funny to “pay a visit” to a neighbour) , I barricaded my door with chairs , then called the reception . The guy who was on the night shift was the ONLY person in that hotel that actually tried to help me . He apologized immediately , re-encoded my card key and even asked if I would like to change the room . As he already re-encoded the key , I said that there is no need for the change , but , still being nervous that somebody can open the room after I check out (I was staying for only one night) , I asked if somebody can check the room in my presence at 9 a.m. to be sure that there is no any damage done to it . He said it’s ok . Obviously , no one came to check it . At the reception there was another guy who knew nothing and were refusing to communicate pretending he doesn’t know English . After I finally explained him what happened , he asked if something was stolen from me . I said no . And then he replied : “ So what’s the problem then ?” Sure , somebody walking in your room in the middle of the night must be something completely natural . Even it was in the middle of the day , it’s still unacceptable . They call themselves a 3 star hotel , but cannot provide even the basics of safety . || Fortunately , this time it end well . But is not your usual “bad hotel” experience . It is a situation that could lead to an actual crime ! I don’t even want to think what could happen if these two guys had bad intentions . Or what if instead of me there was girl or somebody with children . Very sad that I cannot put 0 out of 5 , because even 1 is too much for...

AVOID!!! Broken utilities, dirty and unhelpful staff.

I had a good check in experience, and I checked in early at 1pm paying the additional fee, as I had meetings to be in the whole afternoon. When I first arrived I found small pieces of broken glass on the floor and hairs around in the bathroom. I was then in work meetings all afternoon/evening and was going to just deal with the uncleanliness as I’ve been travelling and working since 4am so was really tired and wanted to just sleep.

I then went to get ready for bed and when flushing the toilet the whole toilet flush mechanism fell off into the toilet. The tap in the kitchen is so loose it’s about to break. No water glasses/cutlery etc given to actually use the kitchen (so it’s completely useless). I’ve then noticed a table propped up against the side of the wall, completely broken!!

I’ve bought this to the staff attention and they tell me there is no other room to move to. Sorry, but I draw the line at having to reach down into the toilet to fix their issue. I bought the issue specifically of the toilet to the staff, at which point they said it would be ‘fixed tomorrow’. I then asked what I was expected to do about going to the toilet in the meantime… and she accepted that there was no response. As a basic human need to use the toilet likely before I leave for my conference tomorrow, and no availability at the hotel, I’ve had to book an alternative.

I have as a result booked elsewhere and said I expect a full refund, which given the circumstances doesn’t feel like too much to ask for. I was told I wouldn’t be able to be issued a refund… considering I paid at the hotel just HOURS before I found this also ridiculous.

I am now at the NH Berlin City Ost and so far highly recommend...

We had our 3 nights there to relax and have vacation. On our first day when we just arrived inside the room, there was hair on the hair dryer and inside the fridge there was a cola left from the last guest and then fridge was not clean. Unfortunately during our entire 3 nights staying, beddings was not change at all, room service was not that good. And what made us upset, during our 2nd day of having our breakfast buffet, there was no buffet at all to pick our own choice. We were just asked how many eggs we would like to eat, then we were just served plenty of bread cheese and salat thats it. Was just kinda disappointed knowing this Hotel is located at the capital city of Germany. Plus the room we chose is with a balcony, but unluckily the entire building is under renovation and we can't see any view from our balcony view. All in all we were not totally impressed and satisfied staying at this hotel. This hotel is also not recommended if you wish to have a good sleep and to relax. Entire night there was just too loud, tho the place is good location for all restaurants, mall and public transformation just 5 min.walk from Station.
