Totally overrated ramen place. Came here bc a friend of my recommend it to me and bc it has such good reviews but got totally disappointed. The only reason for giving a star at all was the friendly waitress who picked up my unhappy face immediately and asked my why. My dish was the vegan tan tan ( expectations for vegan ramen is in general lower since it’s not that easy to get a wholesome taste and not just a watered down one) My biggest surprise was the normal lettuce swimming in the bowl. That was already very questionable but I was like okay let’s try out something new. No surprise to me tho that it didn’t fit to the rest of the flavour at all. It just seems to me that the cooks ( non of them with asian descent only the waiters were Asian ) were trying to hard to make a Asian fusion or something or they’re trying to cut the overall producing costs bc in the end nori leafs are more expensive than these types of lettuce. The broth was okay, they just put too much of this fake meat inside which ended up bloating my stomach along with the noodles which were way too much al dente. The noodles were very hard on some sides
I added an egg and was surprised that they were so stingy and only gave me half of an egg 😂 like don’t list on your menu an egg and just give half of it, that just seems very stingy. My partner also got only half of an egg so it was def not an accident. If you didn’t grow up with proper food culture, haven’t been in Japan and ate proper ramen then maybe buya ramen is the place to be for you. But for someone who already got spoiled in life with good ramen I would save this disappointment. My friend told me that she had the Chashu pork ramen and she was satisfied. Maybe the meat options are more tasty than the vegetarian/ vegan one ?

This is a solid ramen shop, that stands up to its reviews. My partner and I both had the spicy ramen and it was very good and definitely spicy. We also enjoyed the gyoza, which were equally delicious. The food alone would make this place five stars. However, Id say they need to work on the logistics. This place is clearly popular and fills up fast. However, they also clearly have a standard line of “one hour” for any party size big or small to wait. They told this to absolutely everyone. Also, while there were several hours still to closing time, the host wouldn’t put names on the list and you just had to wait around. They admitted that because of this, if you were to come back they would just tell you it would be another hour to wait. After sitting for about 10 minutes we were given a number and told to come back in 45 minutes. We were sat immediately when we came back, but also the crowd had started to thin out by then and I’m betting we could have been sat sooner. The waiting around for a number was also just extra hassle that could have been avoided by being put on the list in the first place. My other comment would be on the check out process. After the meal you must go to a check out register. The register is right next to the kitchen and many parties checking out at the same time are crowding the other tables and the kitchen, which was fairly problematic for the servers. Other than those two things that impacted our experience I would say the food is great and well...

We went to this ramen restaurant because of the high rating (4.6) from over 1,800 reviews but turned out very disappointed and found it pricey in terms of the food quality, service and environment. We don’t understand why so many good reviews and maybe those people haven’t tried the REAL authentic japanese ramen.

Price: €15~18 for a medium size bowl of ramen, €7.5 for 4 small dumplings, which is not too expensive if the food, service and environment are beyond standard but the fact is definitely OVERPRICED.

Food: with high expectation due to the high rating and high price, the quality is not reaching the level. The broth tasted only salty from flavor powder without any slow cooking bones. The meat (Chashu) is hard without taste. The ramen noodle is not chewy but sticky. The dumplings are standard but super small portion compared to the price. In general, the quality is OVERRATED.

Service: the staff provided basic service: put you on the waiting list, place order and bring the food.

Environment: our table is in outdoor with many customers. The ambience is good but sitting on a bench makes you couldn’t enjoy a real meal with friends for longer time.

In conclusion, the cost performance ratio is very LOW. Try for one time is more than enough, don’t waste your...
