Really disappointed. 15€ for one of the most disgusting pancakes I’ve ever had. It was a soap of maple syrup. The pancakes itself didn’t taste like pancakes but instead just pure sugar. The combination with some weird herbs butter and seriously one tiny egg? It cost you nothing to make this plate but some how you still feel like charging 15€. At least make it tasty. I’ve been to this place quite a few times, they have changed the menu a lot over the years and I feel like every time it gets worse. The quality of Ingredients and the careless of tastes combined with this typical rude service makes me not wanna come back here. No I’m not doing you a favor by eating at your business. They really need to change their stuff and specially their chef… this was absolutely not acceptable!! Added photo for reference…. Now there are many nice brunch/dinner places in Berlin, I wouldn’t waste my time here anymore /: --------- WOW this answer that the restaurant gave me... So now I'm supposed to make a scene and send my meal back because you don't have standards? What about good customer service and inviting me to a free pancake then since i had to pay for this awful meal!

Maybe it was just a bad luck, but still... waited very long for the food and drinks first of all. By long I mean over half an hour for 2 portions of eggs and another 20 minutes for the extra coffee afterwards(which was spilled...) Mimosa was with pulp, which is already odd, but it on top of it, it was bitter and very sour. My eggs, and other ones I saw on other tables were with low quality bread, which you can buy in Netto and Aldi for 1€?! Spinach was not good, I think it might have been from the frozen ones you get for a coin in a supermarket. Literally half of an avocado, slightly overcooked eggs and a sauce on top. Potatoes were not fresh, at least warmed up. And it costs 15€. In my opinion it should cost twice as less, because for this money you get an outstanding eggs in so many other places in Berlin. Desserts and coffee we drank were ok. If you are looking for something a little more special and you care how much money you pay-it's not the place.

Read carefully: Bad Bad Bad Really Bad !! Extremely bad service, waiter was really angry / mad / stress / Rude / unfriendly/ unprofessional. We invited a friend for Bday party - we thought its a nice idea lace to celebrate.. we arrived there was good ambience (the only good thing) nice lighting etc.. BUT: food below below average. I do not mind spending 50€ / person for good food at all. But 50€ for such bad food ! Really disappointed!! At the end of all the bad experience/ we asked waiter to split the invoice and thats where the extreme happened. He just was so rude and mad... funny part he still asked for Tips ! Trust me its a bad experience for someone has good experience in eating outside everyday

Good place to waste your money with the quality of an ordinary bistro. You´ll find waiters at McDonalds who are friendlier than Spindler´s staff.

After all the good reviews read for this restaurant, I decided to go with my friends to have a jolly dinner on a Saturday evening. Atmosphere was good, nice decoration and the place was full. Waiter spoke with a french accent that let us to believe that all the read reviews where proven to be true. We ordered a bottle of red wine from Pfalz that, although the price could have competed with a high class Bordeaux, the taste was at the same level of a Balsamico de Modena. For the dinner, we ordered some starters and, as a main dish, each of us ordered a ribeye. Starters came straight away and were ok - goatcheese and some green staff called salad. While we got the starters, we were informed by the same waiter, in a friendly manner, that our main dish was to be delayed by 20-30 minutes due to the busy kitchen. It was understandable in a fullybooked saturday so we took it easy and continued our dinner without any stress. After finishing the cheap bread and the starters we continued with a second bottle of wine with the similar price as the previous one and, for our unfortunate taste, the same low quality. Almost one hour passed by and the other tables which came after us already got their main dishes. We adressed the issue to the waiter who, talking so close to my face that I felt the discomforting spits of his saliva (not very pleasant), said - and this time not in a friendly manner - that he were already told that the ribeyes where to be delayed. We inquired about the remaining waiting time and, after checking with the kitchen, he informed us that no more than 8-10 minutes remained. The 10 minutes passed by and also 20 minutes more until finally our ribeyes came to our table. Of course the waiter didnt apologize for the delay and he instantly left the table. Our 1:30 hours awaited top rewied eyeribs/Entrecote were on the table, luckily cooked as ordered. The taste? absolutely standard - enough to satisfy the hunger of such a long wait but nothing more: a simple piece of Lidl´s meat. Our waiter was ignoring us and, after several calls, we finally managed to order the desserts and coffe to another waiter. Desserts were good in the same fancy manner of fancy restaurants. Although the service didnt match the level of a 65€/pers dinner, we rounded the bill to a quite decent tip - just to leave the place on a gentlemanly manner. At the time of leaving (due to the long waiting there was only one table remaining) none of the waiters used their second chance to apologize for the happening and didnt even say goodbye. Perhaps they knew that we werent going...

Reposting from a few weeks ago: I've always been on the fence about whether or not this place feels worth going to, but the experience today left us feeling pretty decided.

The food is nice (read: The food itself isn't exceptional - it's good, but not great), the ambience is lovely, but all that's missing is service that's also good

We were a table of 6 and one of us ordered first a glass of cremant (specifically cremant, as we heard it), and then later when she ordered another glass "of the same" (meaning, still cremant) the server asked us if we preferred a bottle. So we decided to go for it - all while 100% of the table was under the impression we were ordering cremant because that's what we verbalised, but then we later found out the server actually gave us a 100 euro bottle of champagne without asking us if we wanted to switch from cremant to champagne.

Naturally, we were fine to pay for it but did want to provide that feedback that we felt a bit tricked to order a bottle of cremant and then be given a bottle of champagne instead, and just to recommend they clarify with future guests so as to avoid this. However, instead of listening, the server got very rude with us

So despite the somewhat nice food and good atmosphere, based on the very unfriendly service this place is very underwhelming. Before the rude service experience, I would have placed this as a 3.5 star restaurant, but without friendly service its...

Service (10/10):
