Café Peri — Restaurant in Berlin

Please DO NOT come here. You may very likely be scammed! My friends and I went here for a Monday lunch because we read good reviews about the Turkish food offered here. Unfortunately, our experience here left much to be desired.

Our waiter was kind of rude at first. No hello/welcome or smile. My friend, who speaks German, attempted to order in German but the waiter insisted on speaking English, mixed with Turkish?, with us—which we found confusing because they could have easily communicated in German during ordering, and that would have avoided the SCAM of the extra charges we noticed on our receipt.

The food did come out warm and fresh, but that pleasant memory has now turned sour. No customer enjoys seeing charges on their bill for dishes they never ordered.

We ordered only 2 menumen but was charged for 3 ; ordered TWO chai teas but got charged an extra one ; AND we got charged an extra omelette dish and two waters that we NEVER asked for. We ended up paying almost an extra 30€ — that’s a whole entree!! — than we should have.

Please AVOID this place at all costs. I also have a feeling after reading reviews that the servers and hosts are overworked. I probably saw 3-5 servers for the...

Although this is a place in Germany when you’re in it you feel like you’re in the middle of Turkey because of the tasty Turkish food. Also the atmosphere and vibe that the decoration gives off is very pretty. All the workers are smiley and nice. But however I have to say if you’re ordering Serpme Kahvalti it says in the menu that it is for two people but it’s a lot for two people. The bathroom is also very wide and clean and also there were water in the toilet and there is a counter and a mirror you can fix your make up in the women’s bathroom which I found so good. Also for my fellow Muslims there was a place to take wudu (abdesthane) and a place to pray (mesjid). Overall it was a nice experience and we enjoyed...

Ich war heute gegen 21 Uhr im Restaurant. Ich habe ein Hähnchengericht mit 500 Gramm Fleisch bestellt – ohne Beilagen wie Reis oder Nudeln, da ich eine bestimmte gesunde Ernährungsweise einhalte. Das ist meine übliche Mahlzeit, die ich seit über drei Jahren regelmäßig in diesem Restaurant bestelle. Das normale Gericht auf der Speisekarte kostet 14,90 Euro. Ich habe gesagt, dass es für mich kein Problem ist, einen Aufpreis zu zahlen, wenn ich dafür mehr Hähnchen bekomme – egal, wie hoch der Preis ist.

Der Kellner hat meine Bestellung freundlich entgegengenommen, aber der Koch, der die Gerichte zubereitet, hat meinen Wunsch auf eine provokante Art abgelehnt. Er hat sich entschieden, lediglich zwei Löffel Hähnchen extra hinzuzufügen und dafür 4 Euro zusätzlich zu verlangen. Ich habe ihn höflich und respektvoll gebeten, das Gericht ausschließlich mit Hähnchen zuzubereiten und den Preis entsprechend anzupassen – doch er hat sich geweigert.

Insgesamt war das eine sehr schlechte Erfahrung mit dem Restaurant, der Umgang war respektlos, und ich denke nicht, dass ich dieses Restaurant jemals wieder besuchen werde.

Bugün saat 21.00 civarında restorandaydım. 500 gram tavuk içeren bir yemek sipariş ettim – pilav veya makarna gibi ekler olmadan, çünkü belirli bir sağlıklı beslenme düzenine sadık kalıyorum. Bu, bu restoranda üç yıldan fazla süredir sürekli sipariş ettiğim alışılmış yemeğim. Yemeği sadece tavuktan yapmasını ve fiyatı ona göre artırmasını nazikçe ve saygılı bir şekilde rica ettim – ama kabul etmedi.
