You can find this exhibition right next to the subway station Nollendorfplatz. It is one of the most beautiful and impressive graffiti exhibitions in Berlin, behind a huge but hidden door.

The exhibition is free, but it runs on a donation basis and you can buy some books with pictures of art. I'm not sure if the art itself is for sale.

From the very beginning you can see how colourful and amazing it is. Our students were very excited and you could see the glow in their eyes, they didn't know where to look first.

The exhibition ranges from paintings and prints to sculptures, mostly made from recycled articles that criticize a nation or action. A Berlin bear made of old cardboard boxes is also there. A colourful staircase, which reminds you of a rainbow, leads you to the first floor, where you can see further very exciting exhibits. There are also great little rooms where you can do some confusing selfies. We recommend the visit...

I went to the museum after my visit to Schonberg Finanzamt. It's quite walking distance away from Finanzamt.

"Love Letters to the City", curated by Michelle Houston, pays homage to urban spaces and encourages reflection on the role of art in shaping our collective urban experience. The exhibition examines the transformative potential of public art and explores the methods and motivations behind such works, as well as their social impact. By going beyond the confines of the museum, the exhibition encourages visitors to re-evaluate public space, engage with public space and discover their connection to the city. The narratives embedded in the urban landscape are accessible to those who are ready to perceive them.

A point to note: While formally there are no tickets to visit the museum but the institute accepts voluntary donations to support the wonderful cause/ maintenance of...

If street art is your thing a visit here is a no brainer and a really nice way to spend an hour or so. Spread over a couple of floors and numerous alcoves this gallery is crammed full of great street art.

With a lot of space to fill they've really packed some stylistic variety into the gallery with something for everyone, although I'm sure you will appreciate the quality in most of the pieces regardless.

I'm not a street art expert but I was familiar with quite a few of the artists which I guess is a testament to the quality on show but it was also a great introduction to loads of new talent that I perhaps would never discover but who I am now looking out for.

If all this wasn't enough then it is actually free to get in although there is a donation box which I urge you to contribute to as places like this deserve all the support...

A Free Urban Museum, imagine that. I was pulled along to view this museum; This is one time that I am glad that my wife was adamant. From the time I got to the door I was blown away. It was free, it looked like a disco from outside, and the visitors were young and trendy. What I like most of all was the creative art pieces that was on display. They had one theme in common, using natural resources: Art from nothing.I think this is a great museum for people of all ages: Young people will appreciate the idea of using everything to create art, and the old will see that art is in everything.

This is a worthwhile museum to visit while in Berlin. Found it by chance when visiting the weekend market at Winterfeldplatz. First it's donation based and they don't push for one. They welcome you and if you enjoy you can donate. No pressure, no signs to remind you. This is a deep dive into Berrlin street art and graffiti. Beautiful pieces on display, the tools and methods they use and videos of it actually happening. Spent well over an hour here admiring this art. Definitely recommend a visit to this intriguing space. The building is part of the art as well. Enjoy!
