Café au Lait — Restaurant in Berlin

Extremely stressful breakfast experience. The food, the attitude of the people was just dismal. I'm never coming back again. Steer clear. Reason:1)Long wait times, over-packed with no COVID protocol: We waited an hour to get breakfast. I think they must have forgotten us because the guests who arrived after us were being served. No big deal, that happens. Also, there's like an inch of distance between the seats even in times of the pandemic. no idea how that's allowed2)Wrong order. After 60 minutes of waiting, they brought us the wrong plate of food. We had ordered bacon and eggs and they arrived with a plate of overdone sunny-side-up. No bacon. Again, they asked us to wait for the bacon, which again, didn't arrive. So my partner who had just donated blood and was looking forward to a simple plate of bacon and eggs (first day of a long awaited holiday) got dried up eggs and half of my breakfast. The bacon never arrived.3)Average food. The food tasted average. The hummus was dry. It arrived late and then they never bothered to bring the correct order. we kept hoping the correct order arrives but it never did so it was just weird and we were unsure the whole time if we should wait or eat. The staff is overworked and the management clearly doesn't care. This brings me to the next point.4)Insensitive servers. So when they finally came and asked us how it was long after we were done, we said we never got our order. The server randomly brought us orange juice as if that was going to compensate for everything else. She was quick to bring the receipt and was quite proud to not charge us for the bacon. So when I mentioned that it's unfair that she's charging us for the (average and dried up and late) eggs at all, she just snapped. she said: you have to pay for it, we are not responsible for the waiting times. And then in an equally angry tone: sorry. Like we were at fault here.It's one thing to make errors, it's a whole different thing to snap back and pretend like free orange juice will solve the issue. Disappointed...

In order not to panic, I do my favorite job - for example, I continue to write about the delicious places of Berlin! #happyfood_travel visited the very nice restaurant @cafeaulaitofficial A family restaurant with 30 years of history and very soulful owners, father and son Vahedi! Here you can have a delicious breakfast - pancakes and omelettes are served all day, there is also a vegan plate with homemade hummus (with beetroots is my ❤), porridge with coconut milk, vegetables, avocado toast with sourdough bread😍😍😍, and many other delicious dishes - salads, pasta, soups, bowls and ect! Highly recommend cold press juices - for example, Mr. Green and Orange County! The place is very cozy and ideal not only for breakfast, but also for a romantic dinner! If I could give this place -5 stars I would! and this is not a reflection of the food (which was average for the price we paid) but rather a reflection of the HORRIBLE service we got from one of the ladies working there who made us pay for indigestible Mimosa - the Prosecco used was clearly opened for long long time we couldn't even take a second sip of it and we told her so because for 14e we would expect a decent Prosecco quality - She said there is nothing she can do for us and we have to pay for the Mimosa's regardless and didn't even bother investigate the matter!!!! and then afterwards all the service we got was terrible as if we were the ones who served this drink!!!
