Chaparro Cocina Mexicana — Restaurant in Berlin

To compare it to a great American novel. Where the mice were missing, agony took their place. Me and my platoon arrived at Chaparro Cocina with belly’s empty and hopes high. However, I see myself as something of a gatbsy and this was horrendous in comparison. I may even eat some grapes and return in wraith. I would rather live on a little house on the prairie then return to this establishment. Would you like to waste an hours wage on bites of failure and disappointment, well you will find yourself homely amongst these walls. The quality of pork and wheat, lacklustre to say the least. I would say pass on this dinery and continue down the strip to a wilder and more succulent establishment. Oh wow, as I write this script and I am recounting spitting these very words to my good friend Tommy on our A-Levels trip to zante. I often wondering where Tommy is nowadays, last I heard he was herding cattle out east. Anyway, I am losing track and pondering back on my glory days as I so often to. To summarise this venue, let’s all do better. Me, them and even you. In this fragile and separated we must all strive for the upmost glory....

This was to be the place i used to get slightly more decent tacos than other places in Berlin. Sadly the quality has gone down dramatically. At first it was a roulette wheel, one day good, another day bad, another worse. The prices are also not attractive, 12 euros for 3 low-quality mini tacos on average. I need at least two orders for a meal. That is 4 euros per taco, although the ingredients are homemade and fresh, those are the most expensive tacos of which I have oral and written records in old and new world. But this is not the worst, after having a beer and a Jarrito, I have the need to use the bathroom. They don't have a bathroom!!!!!! isn't that illegal? I had to go find a bathroom in the neighboring bars. Of course these bars are fed up with Chaparro customers asking to use the bathroom. They sent me to hell, and they're right.

I reserved a table for my partners birthday, and we were really excited about that place as there are unfortunately no good Mexico places in Berlin. When we got there they said there was no table booked for 20:30 and that they can’t oder us anything. They found the booking confirmation later, no apologies though. We finally sat down around 21:00, and when we wanted to order, the waiter said no orders were being accepted after 21:20. Michaeladas were not available, also the margaritas were almost empty. Nobody could order any drink after 21:30 and the waiter was really annoyed with everyone coming in. Expensive place, toilets not existent, plates were not available at the beginning, food tasted rushed. I’m really unhappy about how we were treated. We were a group of 10 hungry people, we left there enough money in drinks and food. Definitely not...
