Read moreVery disappointing. It’s a Chinese run restaurant that seems to have tailored their food the local German pallet.
We’ve went to the restaurant because some of the dishes looked decent, but they seem to be old ones.
Dumplings where good. Not great, but decent for the price.
Pigs Ears was the best dish of everything we’ve ordered, but not really good compared to some other places.
The biggest disappointments were Tan Tan Noodles and sliced beef.
Both had a similar broth with almost the exact same seasoning. When it arrived, it even looked the same, as the food was drowned is litres of broth.
Tan tan had barley any toppings and the worst thing, it wasn’t spicy nor did it have any Szechuan pepper. I don’t expect it to be numbing, but at least a tickle would have been nice. Not sure if hat the recipe for the noodles is, but they were soggy.
Same goes for the spicy beef. Slices were over-cooked with barley any flavour.
All in all, very disappointing. We really wished it would be a place with awesome food, but I unsurprising...
Read moreI think overall this is an absolute gem of a restaurant. I was slightly overwhelmed whilst looking at the restaurant from the outside, but following a friendly greeting from the host I felt right at home.
The food was brilliant, lots of flavour and high in quantity! I had Tofu and vegetables in a black bean sauce with egg fried rice which slapped. Cost €20. My friend got a much better deal, for 1/2 of a duck for €13.40 which came with salad and a huge portion of rice. This was far the superior deal.
After looking at a few more reviews, it is clear to see the quality of this restaurant. We didn’t wait long for a table, nor did we wait long to have our food delivered. Staff very friendly and hospitable....
