Thai Snack — Restaurant in Berlin

I had a long day of work and was looking for someplace to eat at 11pm. I didn't feel like eating heavy and I didn't want to go to the topical places like a kebab place. On my way back home I stumbled upon this location which looked small and barely lit with outdoor and indoor seating. It offered a rich menu with a great variety of dishes. Upon ordering I noticed it had bamboo covered walls which the owner, when asked, told me they cane from Vietnam. This is the kind of commitment I love seeing in a business owner! The Thai chatter from the staff gave a unique touch to the whole experience. And food was simply great! Although I think they took the flavor down a notch to not scare away the Berliners. The OG of Thai food places in Friedrichshain. Established in 1996 and my absolute favourite. Will always go there when back in my hometown, Berlin. Really large menu, and whereas this is normally not always a great sign for quality, these guys make it happen. Fantastic/delicious menu choices. It's a tiny space with a tiny kitchen, but a lot of magic happens there. Always amazed at how fast and efficient everything is prepared freshly. It's original Thai food, prepared by Thai people. Worth the walk. Self service homey, hole in the wall type of place. Super cheap, super quick and nice service. Food is delicious, inexpensive with great size portions. Would so come back here.
