The food was good, but the very unprofessional and unorganized service/atmosphere was not worth it at all.
We had a reservation for 8pm. We had to wait 40 minutes (!!) to be seated and were only given a small welcome drink as an excuse. We were 3 people, but were crammed into a 2 person table. After ordering we had to wait again (about 30 min), but then they brought only the food without the drinks. The 3rd person got her drink after we were halfway through our meal. But it was the wrong drink. She ordered without alcohol (!!) but it came with alcohol. No excuse for this mistake. After waiting a while, the correct drink arrived. We were almost finished eating.
We also witnessed how the table next to us got a lot of food and drinks on the house because they complained about the very bad service. We received nothing on the house for the bad dinner experience except for the ridiculous welcome drink. When we paid, the waiter did not even ask for feedback, but just quickly left the ATM on our table and hurried away. So no chance to give feedback.
I will definitely...

Built to feel like a modern Mexican restaurant, it serves pretty authentic fare, however, at forbiddingly high prices! EUR 8.00 for two small tacos.
Drinks are very good and priced accordingly.
We’ve repeated our visit after some time and while the chef has changed, the dishes continue to be good and fairly authentic Mexican (NOT Tex mex).
Two main areas for improvement are in my opinion the design of the restaurant and the food plating. While some of the decor is nice, overall it feels like a “temporary” location. Especially the windows, floors and ceiling could use advice from a designer. As far as the plating is concerned, this is key, not only as much of the guest’s culinary experience happens visually but also because aspiring restaurants need to assure “instagramability”. I suggest looking for plates that highlight the...
Read mores a Mexican living abroad, I was curious to try Comedor. Overall, it was just okay — not particularly good or bad. The food definitely isn’t authentic Mexican, but I can appreciate the effort; it felt more like a nice try at a modern twist on Mexican and German cuisine rather than a faithful representation of the traditional authentic cuisine
Service was friendly and professional, which I appreciated, usually Mexican restaurants in Europe tend to be low end places.
The portions were quite small — for around 50 euros per person, you shouldn’t expect to leave feeling full. It felt a bit overpriced for what you get, especially considering the lack of bold, traditional flavors.
Nice atmosphere and good intentions, but I’m honestly not sure if I...
