I came across this restaurant when my wife and I were looking for Indian food close to Charlottenburg. As it was suggested on the internet as dosa restaurant and we had not eaten one in a very long time, it was only natural for us to have gone here. So, after walking a short distance from Charlottenburg, we ended up at the restaurant. We were very well received and hosted by the staff. The ambience is nice and seating for good number of people is possible. The restaurant also has a bar, and that's quite big. A mix of Telugu and Hindi songs were being played. We naturally ordered masala dosa and some beverages. In a short while, the dosas arrived. We relished on them and they were tasty. Dosas were served with coconut chutney and sambar. We also ordered a plate of idly and vada. There were other options in dosas like rava dosa. There are also other dishes in a-la-carte mode and some combos available during lunch hours for regular stuff that you would find in other Indian restaurants. Service is very good and prices are comfortable. We have visited this place few times ever since and I would recommend to go there...
Read moreWe went there in sep last year. It was Poor service, not child friendly, We were 4 adults & 3 children under 4 yrs. One of the staff came & asked us to make the children quiet, although the restaurant was almost empty except 2 other tables. We had ordered the food & it took ages to come. Meanwhile the staff was rude at the children because they were talking a bit loud & asked us to take the children to outside tables where the temp was 12 deg. We cancelled the order & came out. Completely unfriendly... I'm sorry but the reply mentioned by the restaurant is not true. The restaurant was almost empty with only 2 - 3 tables with people & moreover there were some old people who say beside our table were smiling at the children & they never seemed to be complaining. None of the guests left. Moreover the children were not so loud. The reply was just to protect your reputation, which of course is there always. The waiter was of course not polite which our friends can tell. It was just a unfriendly...
Read moreMost unauthentic Indian Food :
Been to this restaurant after reading the reviews, but experienced the most unauthentic food & rude staff . Ordered "Samosa" which is a classic indian snack , costs 3.90€ for two pieces , each smaller than your index finger and stuffed with filling which is cold at the center. This happens when foods are made in large batches and stored in refrigerator and dropped into hot oil on order basis.
The lamb biryani as advertised on the menu read "basmati" rice, anyway what we received could be compared to Khichdi which has the cheapest sticky rice not meant for biryani however widely used in southern india. Regarding thr mango lassi it can be said that regular water has better consistency than the lassi they served. Also the waiter imagined us to runaway with the menu card and was so eager to have it back that he came for it every 2 minutes.
Please do not be fooled with their sweet outer behaviour to cover up the disgusting quality of...
