India Express - Indisches Restaurant — Restaurant in Berlin

This is my personal experience and it can differ frm person to person

We visited this restaurant on 13th Feb,2022 Restaurant owner handed over us menu card. We asked owner if he can make paneer tikka masala instead of chilli paneer which was in the menu for 7.90 euros. Paneer tikka was in tandoor/grill section for 8.9 euros something He agreed for it.

We placed the order with 2 chapati and one butter naan( butter naan wasn't in menu) Naan was for 1.5 euros Garlic naan 2 euros Cheese naan 2.5 euros

The sabzi was quite good but unfortunately it wasn't paneer tikka masala but chilli paneer 😅 but it was pretty good as we asked them to make it spicy. Naan was 😝 so I decided to order dal tadka to fill my stomach.

My mistake i didn't ask which dal it is. I assumed dal tadka means yellow lentil. He served us dal makhani I was hungry and disappointed ( i hate dal makhani) It was all fine till now Then we got the bill 😄

He charged 10.5 euros for same sabzi which he served in the name of paneer tikka which was in menu for 7.9 euros

The biggest Blunder was he charged us 3.5 euros for butter naan. Even cheese naan was for 2.5 euros 🙄

When we called the uncle to rectify it. He asked us to pay 20 euros fast. They gave papad to other clients but not to us

Food was quite good but attitude and honesty was missing here.

I will not go to this restaurant who tries to cheat clients...

Ordered a Veg Thali at around 17:50 hr.

The soup was given first which tasted ok and I was positive about the main course, and then thali with rice (not hot), 3 vegetable dishes, non-Indian salad, small quantity of raitha was served and then hot bature was served which is good part of the thali. And finally the warm sweet dessert was served - it was reheated (very inconsistent and I burnt my tongue because of heat) and tasted bland.

So far average quality and I thought let me end with a good quality indian spiced tea - which was a big mistake !

Usually indians like hot piping tea and not just luke warm. Though the quantity of tea is good but not the quality. Felt really uncomfortable after drinking the tea, add to it not that good ventilation for fresh air. I felt I should immediately get a breath of fresh air - quickly paid up the bill of around 14 € and came out for fresh air - a big relief.

In short an average place/environment, food and with good, friendly staff for really...

Update: I have never seen a psychologically ill person in a resturant manager position like this in Germany. He was dare enough to ask why I left a poor review as soon as I entered the restaurant. We eventually left without eating. Chacha, after giving such a poor service what do you expect? Also, if you have psychological issues, please see a doctor. Such behaviour of yours is a shame to Indian cohort and the restaurant chains here in Germany. What a creep. Grow up, be sportive and give a better service and expect better reviews. Not by acting barbaric. Initial review: The food was good but the service was not. I had to wait good time for my bill to arrive. And when asked, I was told we are serving other customers now. I mean, get my bill and let me pay and I'll get tf out. They came to ask how the food was, very politely. I assumed them to be humane but that's not how you deal with customers. This definitely...
