A nice cozy restaurant just around the corner from Boxi. The waiters are friendly, but inattentive. Unfortunately all of our food was cold when it arrived and did not taste great. The Dervish set was a good option which tasted fine even though it was cold, along with the salads. The kofta set was bland and cold even though it was served in iron skillets on a wooden board, so one would expect the dishes to be piping hot. Somehow the lentil soup, served in an iron bowl was also cold. The bread was fine, but nothing great. The desserts were tasty, especially the Samarkandi halva and the Forish puff pastry cake. The puff pastry seemed slightly stale, but I was just glad it tasted good. A tip for the waiters: pay more attention to the table with kids. We had to wait for several minutes to get the attention of the waiters, even though the dining area is a small room serving about 15 tables with 4 waiters present. I had to ask for the bill multiple times, and they forgot to take the money once the bill was paid, so I had to go to the kitchen to pay them and leave, because by that point my kids were getting very sleepy. They do not accept cards, so remember to take cash, and a lot of it, because this place is quite expensive, which is not warranted for the food they serve and the service they provide....

After the experience at that restaurant you start thinking that cooking at home makes sense. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Food: We got the plate for two after recommendation of the service and we didn't like any plate. Tasteless, not even the hummus were tasting like hummus. Dumplings with strange filling, lentils ball that were not tasting like lentils. Tasteless pita's and some kind of pasties. Very awkward.

Service: We asked if the place of two is a lot for to people, they said no, in the end was way too much food to waste. They brought us wrong drink, didn't even bother to ask us if we would like to have the drink that we originally ordered after pointing it out. We asked to have the rest foor packed and they brought us plastic boxes to pack ourselves. No problem with that, but didn't see any service in all this.

Price: Very expensive for tasteless vegetables.

Atmosphere: Ok.

To your answer: Calling me ironically "sipmply true culinary critic" and "ungrateful"?! Thank you. Seems you accept only 5 stars critic. It was just my honest opinion. 4.9 stars in google is very...

Truly an incredible experience. The owner spent a long time at the table with me, even though I arrived alone. I was in Berlin for the evening, knowing no one. And really, the energy from the moment you enter this restaurant is amazing. For me, the cuisine is genius. Because when you look at it, usually, dishes are packed with meat. But here, you get all the flavor, actually, but also all the health benefits. You leave, in fact, with your stomach vibrating with life. From A to Z, the decor, the waiter, the person who owns the restaurant, his wife, it's something that's family-managed, it's luminous. Honestly, no matter the situation, I recommend this restaurant because it can only be a top-notch experience. Truly, it's something to do. I find it genius because there are a lot of restaurants inspired by a place, people who actually manage to invent their own approach and give their DNA in their cooking while being inspired, in fact, by their origins. It's genius. So really, it's an experience everyone should have. Thank You again for this...

The food was very delicious and the Ambiente was so nice you are sitting on a lower table like on the floor at some seat pillows which feels like taking part at the culture of Uzbekistan at least a teany tiny little bit.😅🫶🏼 we had the manti, the Kofta, the Kovurma and the salad set for 2 person. That was a good amount. We still ordered the spinach bread later. All of the dishes were really very good! Will definitely come back and I would always recommend the Kovurma, the Kofta and the Manti the most.😍 sadly the mango lassi was too little mango and too much heavy coconut cream… the service was very kind and sweet as well. There I only subtracted one star, because we were sitting outside and the waiter did not come outside that often. So sometimes we had to wait some more minutes, but still not too long.

I visited this restaurant for the first time today. The ambiance was fantastic and very unique. The staff was extremely polite. I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars because the food wasn't hot enough—not even warm. The Qutab set priced at 17€ is overkill for that portion size. The price should be a maximum of 10€ and definitely served as a starter, not a main dish. The Kofta set was quite monotonous and, in my opinion, not seasoned enough. The description says "sauce of your choice," but in reality, we all got tahini. The only dish that was truly perfect was the stuffed eggplant as a starter. I would definitely come back for that. I believe the restaurant has potential and I will surely visit again, but not anytime soon.

At Dervish, you can get veganized Uzbek cuisine, which is clearly home-cooked and handmade. For me, experiencing the food here was very interesting. There are different dishes featuring dumplings, noodles, potatoes, beans and vegetables. I particularly love the comfy and relaxed vibe of the restaurant inside. There is regular chair seating as well as seating on the floor on carpets. The walls are decorated with colorful tapestry and paintings. The location is kids-friendly, offering even a kid's menu. In addition to that, dogs are allowed inside, too. Overall, a very welcoming spot with home-cooked foods.
