Delabuu Ice Cream — Restaurant in Berlin

Finally got to try the ice cream here after walking past the lines outside many times. Went much later in the night close to closing so didnt have to wait very long at all which I would reccomend.

Delabuu is definitely on the more fancy and expensive side but if that's what you want then you'll enjoy it. High quality of ingredients, very decent portion size and friendly staff made it a pleasurable experience. When you order you are given a piece of paper to 'build' your own ice cream which may be over complicated or too fussy for some. For others I'm sure it will be a super fun experience to be so involved in taylor making your own flavour combinations. The rolls or scrolls are a novel difference and could be seen as a little over hyped but I found it still enjoyable. I went for blueberry, white chocolate bueno, nutella filling with coconut sprinkles and the combination worked quite well. It was an aromatic, refreshing yet rather filling portion. I will say as someone who loves less fruity and overwhelming flavours such as Pistachio and Vanilla it was a shame to see both not included as base flavours so I would personally vote for them to be included in the future if possible. I would reccomend to go once when it's less busy and pick flavours that you love or that compliment each other or you could end up creating an expensive Frankenstein's monster of a creation as I saw two nearly full cups left on the table we were sitting at that. I wanted to try the new fancy ice-thingy in town. To be honest, I was not expecting something very nice, because the place sounded and looked like a mismatch of expensive buzz-words and nothing more. I'm happy to say: I was wrong. Of course the ice creams are a bit pricey but I think the experience and the tastes are worth it. You can create whatever combination you want and it's done in front of you. The presentation in rolls is funny. It does not look like much but is way more than you'd expect. As a vegan person, I appreciate that, by default, the cream is vegan. All the toppings are not but the vegan alternatives are not crazy more expensive and you have plenty to choose from. You can get vegan icecream in endless diversity here! The base is vegan and can be combined with all kinds of (vegan and non-vegan) ingredients, which are mixed into the icecream and used as toppings. So you can create whatever flavor you want!
