Dulce Mundo — Restaurant in Berlin

Dulce Mundo completely blew me away, especially with their empanadas. It’s not easy to find empanadas like these in Berlin. Most places either skimp on the filling or mash everything together into a tasteless lump. But here? You can actually see and taste what’s inside. Each empanada has a clear, distinct flavor, with high-quality ingredients and that perfect homemade touch. They’re generous, full of character, and made with real care.

This isn’t mass-produced food trying to pass as artisanal. Dulce Mundo is the real thing, you can tell they put love and craftsmanship into every single product, no matter how much they make. That balance between homemade quality and professional consistency is rare, and they’ve nailed it.

The coffee is also really good: smooth, flavorful, and prepared with just as much attention. On top of that, the whole vibe of the place is warm and thoughtful.. you feel like every detail has been considered with love.

I ordered a birthday cake from them and first they forgot to prepare it for the agreed time and I had to sit there for half an hour while they rushed to put it together. Even worse, when we cut the cake it was raw in parts and a whole layer was dense. Accidents happen but when I sent them a photo and a message they didn’t offer any other solution other than a 10% discount next time I’m in the store.

Anyways, never ordering again, threw away 65 euros. The cake was inedible and we had to bake a quick cake during the birthday party.

We decided to try a medialuna filled with dulce de leche and a coffee. The croissant itself had a dense texture and was more on the chewy than crunchy side. It was very sweet and, unfortunately, didn’t taste particularly fresh. However, the dulce de leche cream was incredible — perfectly sweet with a slight caramel note.
