This is a destination restaurant. Experience the bohemian vibe of Kreuzberg sitting out on the cobbles with view of the bridge and river. Delicious cocktails and aperitifs on offer as well as alcohol free drinks and mocktails. Service friendly and polite: especially when our party was switching between English and German! Food is simple but special: refined German classics. You WILL NOT leave hungry. Everything tastes fresh and as though it was made with care. My lamb ragout with potatoes was a thoughtful and skilled piece of cooking. The spätzle was rich and decadent: not at all gummy or tacky. Our group had the most wonderful time dining here last Saturday night. The vegetarian options were delicious! We had the vegan currywurst to share as a starter and the spätzle for main. We were blow away by the dishes, both were packed full of flavour and my mouth is watering just thinking about them now. We enjoyed the beer they have on tap maybe a little too much. All of the staff were very welcoming and accommodating to our needs and the atmosphere was very friendly.

Single handedly one of the slowest and saltiest meals in recent memory. We made a reservation for 19:15 and didn't leave until nearly 22h. The food was unbearably salty and, at least in my case, had become congealed and soggy from waiting to be picked up and served. The reservation process was a kind of inscrutable odyssey in its own right. Surely Berlin can produce better places than this one. Or is this the lazy standard we can expect? There are, rest assured, far better and more generous places to eat this...
