G wie Goulasch — Restaurant in Berlin

Marco has a cute restaurant/serving style, cooks up a great specialized menu, and is a friendly/engaging host. I had the beef goulash and the quality of the meat was very high with a fantastic seasoning. Really enjoyed one of the beers with dinner (the Grimbergen Blonde) and though I didn't need it, the creme brulee as well. Great to support a true small business where the service is done with just engagement and enjoyment and the patrons really appreciate a great meal...as I heard from another group nearby after they were served and they started enjoying it their dinner. ...

The service was good, observative and polite. Eventhough the place doesnt have an english menu, he described it in detaile. But when it comes to meal - the portian was quite insufficient compared to the price (around 13 euros) for goulash. The meal tasted good, but it was obviously heaten up and the goulash was served only with two dumplings. Although I'm a vegetarian, this place is one of my favourite regular places to eat. First of all the vegetarian dish is always delicious and the soups, cheese platter and desserts are great. Secondly Max is an amazing host. Managing to communicate with all the guests while cooking and taking orders and ensuring food and drink come in a timely manner. Great beer selection.
