This bar is a total gem. The leather furniture is comfortable af, the lighting is low enough to make it cosy - but not too dark that you can find your drink - and if you can snag a seat in the bar area and look out of the huge window onto the street... it's perfection. Oh yeah - and the drinks are one-of-a-kind tasty. The staff doesn't just pull beers and pour wine - they will also make you a custom drink, according to your own personal taste - The woman with the brown eyes and thick-rimmed glasses is basically a drink wizard. But don't forget to check out the drink list: it goes way beyond your standard...

It is really rare to find such a rude service in a bar, even in Berlin.

Although the bar was not at all busy, we were thrown a bunch of menus and paper to write down our orders. Once written, we had to take it to the bar. Of course, we were ignored for the rest of evening, so every additional order required one more trip to the bar. To pay it, well, you know the drill: to the bar.And each time someone goes to the bar, bartender was making weird and rude remarks. Maybe he thinks it is funny, but I know I will never set my foot...

Cocktails lecker, Service desaströs - das ist die kurze Zusammenfassung. Im Detail: Der Barmixer schaut so finster drein, dass man den Eindruck bekommt, er würde den nächsten umbringen, der es wagt, ihn anzusprechen (wahrscheinlich ist das die Absicht). Der Typ, der an den Tischen bedient, ist recht schroff berlinerisch drauf, kriegt aber anfangs noch die Kurve mit ein paar Witzen. Ist meiner Meinung nach aber zu unhöflich und respektlos für eine Bedienung in einer Bar. Etwas Herzlichkeit stünde ihm gut, aber das ist wohl zu viel verlangt. Immerhin, die Cocktails kommen ziemlich schnell. Allerdings dauert es eine Stunde, bis er mal wieder vorbeischaut, was natürlich weniger am Personal liegt sondern vermutlich am Besitzer, der meint durch den Einsatz möglichst wenig Personals Geld sparen zu können. Das ist aber eine Milchmädchenrechnung, denn wir hätten locker doppelt so viel getrunken, wenn wir nur die Möglichkeit gehabt hätten, zu bestellen. An die Bar zu gehen und es zu wagen, den Barkeeper anzusprechen, brachte keiner von uns den Mut auf, da wird einem dann doch sehr deutlich gezeigt, wie sehr man als Kunde stört. Der Typ, der am Tisch bedient, setzt dem ganzen am Ende noch die Krone auf, als er sich beim Bezahlen über die Höhe des Trinkgeldes beschwert. Junge, überleg mal, warum das so viel war, wie es war!
