As a French person I wanted to enjoy this place. Unfortunately, I was misled, I thought I would get a nice experience from French Brittany where I used to lived as the name of the place suggested. Unfortunately, it was more the Parisian Tourist trap experience with mandatory rude staff.
Place looked nice online with good reviews, It was our first date, and what happened is pretty simple. Took forever to get the attention of the waiter. Then we ordered drinks. Then we were told that we have to order more if we want to stay. I understand they want to have people order food and more stuff. We ordered a second round of drinks, but just the way they did it was very rude and not a professional attitude at all. Instead of telling us how amazing their products are and we should give them a shot. We were told we should go to a park if it is only to have drinks, and being lectured twice about us not ordering enough, by rude people.
We canceled our second round of drinks, paid and left to the satisfaction of the staff.
They were happy to see us leave. My date and I bonded over this experience, and the caricature of the rude parisian waiter. The Date went great afterward, we laughed a lot about it. I’m happy I didn’t give more of my money to these people.
I guess, everyone was happy in the end. I do not know if the food is good or bad. 6 years in Berlin and definitely the rudest staff experience. Even if I understand that the place wants to see a fast turnover of high paying customers.
I think it was short sighted on their behalf.
I prefer giving my money to restaurants that value their patrons.
I will find a better place for my future dates and relaxation.

My partner and I visited this place few times and had a great experience and yummy dinner.
However, it changed when it came to take away experience. We ordered 2 gallettes and got only one! When my partner called them (he doesn't speak German) the lady just hung up without trying to understand what's happening or at least giving him a minute to hand over to me. So, we had to call them back one more time. When I explained the situation in German, they told us Ah, okay, then come and pick it up yourself.
Of course, when people order food at home and pay a delivery fee, picking up the order themselves during a 30-minute lunch break is exactly what they should expect, right?
So, we ended up with two cold galettes and an awful feeling of being ignored and left-behind as no one even bothered to think about us or mitigate the situation when, in fact, it was their fault...
Read morePerfect place for a delightful breakfast or lunch. The gloriously friendly host welcomed us with a smile and an angelic aura. We were shown to a booth upstairs and provided with an extensive menu full of continental classics. My galette was simply glorious and my only complaint is that I did not have the foresight to order a second. My hot chocolate was arguably the best to have ever passed my lips and it made me feel warm inside, literally and metaphorically. There is a filthy hipster mess opposite, ignore the BO and copious amount of avocado, walk past it and straight into Galetterie Cafe for an experience like no other. I’m on the verge of tears writing this review, they say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. My heart will be with this excellent establishment now...
