The Brooklyn — Restaurant in Berlin

Unfortunately I cannot give no stars!!!! Without a doubt this is the worst restaurant I’ve ever been in for both the food and service. Do not waste your time and money there. Our experience was that on entering we were met by a member of the kitchen staff as the kitchen is adjacent. There was dirty glasses and plates stacked up at reception . Unfortunately we didn’t leave at this point. As we didn’t leave we were shown through to our table and left there, no one offered to take our coats, offer us a menu or take a drink order. When the waiter finally arrived we got some sort of service and placed our order. The menu was very expensive so we expected that the food would outweigh the service we had received so far, we were badly mistaken !!!!. We ordered the Porterhouse which arrived 40 min later cold and undercooked. We requested for the steak to be cooked more, it came back cold again and still undercooked. The quality of the meat was terrible. It was full of gristle and fat. The meat was so poor we left most of it. The side orders of fries, mashed potatoes and coleslaw looked and tasted like the were bought in from a budget supermarket. From our first minute in the restaurant we felt as though we were being ignored by our waiter, then worse followed as my head was hit by either a plate in the waiters hand or by his hand as he cleared another table. Finally we were able to get acknowledged by the waiter to clear our table of the awful food. This time he managed to bump my breast. Again we were ignored for a while until we managed to ask for the bill. somehow the same waiter managed to “accidentally” say “just enter your tip”. Great concept.

The interior design as well as the lighting and furniture suit a steakhouse and create a nice atmosphere.

Went for the 300g Mignon which was cooked to perfection (matched my order requirements). The plate and selection of mixed vegetables was also very tasty, slight hint of butter and garlic in there. Meet quality is on the spot. Absolutely flawless and tender. Creme brulee for dessert was great as well. Really liked the combination of wild berries that go with it.

Service is attentive and professional. Friendly and effective staff.

Only minus here was the espresso for me which comes out of a Nespresso machine. Not quite what you expect from such place and price level. Still, that doesn't take away a star in this rating.

This steakhouse impressed with well prepared beef and un-fussy service. The location is a bit subtle. Apparently located in a small hotel. Our first impression was the arrival of the steak board with the evening's selections. A nice touch. I eat far too much steak, so believe me when I say, that these steaks were well prepared. Very tasty. And reasonably priced compared to American steakhouses. The sides were fine. The drink prices were reasonable. The service was good. Steakhouse service can be a bit over the top.
