Goldmarie — Restaurant in Berlin

No go! Typical Berlin unfriendliness. I couldn't pay with EC Card (which here is a debit-card; seriously?), waitress said "no cards - only cash" - I had to deposit my house keys, run to Kottbusserdamm, stand in line with 15 others to wait for the ATM, and run back only because the owner refuses to organize a card reader (please spare me the excuse over fees! ) - the additional incompetent waitress who immediately took my criticism personally - off course - and then whined why I treated her like that (oh GOD!), is a further testimony to the non-existent "customer service" that you have to really search forever in Berlin .... Thank God I ran past two places that take EC cards and I do not have to visit the GldM in the future ever again. Hey owner... how about taking the next move into the 21st century?

No go! Typische Berliner Unfreundlichkeit. Meine Rechnung wollte ich mit EC (!) Karte bezahlen, da hiess es "keine Karten - nur Bares" - ich musste einen Pfand hinterlegen, zum Kotti laufen, mich mit 15 anderen für den Geldautomaten anstellen, zurücklaufen nur weil die Eigentümerin sich weigert ein Kartenlesegerät zu organisieren (bitte ersparen Sie mir die Gebührenleiher!) - die zusätzlich inkompetente Bediehnung die sofort meine Kritik persönlich nahm und dann rumheulte warum ich sie so behandle (oh GOTT!) ist weiteres Zeugniss des nicht vorhandenen "customer serivice", den man in Berlin ewig suchen muss .... Gottseidank bin ich an zwei Kaffees vorbei gelaufen die EC Karten nehmen und ich die GldM in zukunft nicht mehr aufzusuchen muss wenn es dann mal wieder morgens Zeit ist für ein Kaffee...

I was very happy with visit here. They have different choice of sirups for coffee than most of the places in Berlin and that is a BIG PLUS. I've tried almond one and my latte was delicious, also they have oat milk what is a upside cause not all caffees thinks about people which can't take lactose. It would be even nicer if they would have some other sorts, for example simple lactose free or maybe coconut. I've tried also rabarbar cake, was good. Goldmarie is also well located in...

Really wonderful café with great pies. A tat on the expensive side (nothing crazy), but kinda worth the money. The staff are really friendly and professional, maybe unsure whether they are on the Chique side (price wise a little) and should say Sie, or whether they're part of cool Kreuzberg and can say Du and make jokes. I say choose the latter, but us Dutchies tend to be very informal. Will be back if I feel like something slightly...
