Ho Lo — Restaurant in Berlin

Ho Lo fusion Asian restaurant. I see that reviews go back several years on this location. Which means that this restaurant must be a neighborhood favorite.

It is the first time that I visited with my family. Nowadays, there are so many restaurants like this they all kinda taste the same.

In this case here, I can say that I was quite satisfied with the food and the service. Because I was sitting outside it’s kinda hard to talk about atmosphere.

I had to crispy duck which is kind of crispy and yes, it was tasty. Not bad at all. Nothing to write home to mom about.

The location is just located across from Saint apostles Church, which is a nice place to sit and enjoy the sun when the sun is available. Lots of young people hang out there also.

The total cost was €53 for three people and two drinks.

Service: no greetings, no-offering of tables, instead the waiter kept sitting outside on a table to finish his cigarette, after a while he gave us the menus…few minutes later he asked if we are ready for the orders to be taken and declaring that only cash payment is accepted. The food came within less than 5 minutes, which leads me to the thought that everything is convenient- / pre-cooked food. The food itself was blend. Upon paying the bill th waiter shed if everything is ok. Since he displayed a serious lack of interest and passion we left after paying without any further comments. Oooh, and of course whilst we were eating the waiter was sitting 2 x tables further (outside) to enjoy another cigarette. We also observed another table which was not happy with the quality of the food, to which the server said, he spoken to the chef and said that it was not possible...

We used to love this place with one of my friends, but now every time we go, the girl who is there every evening she is very rude. We feel that is like she wants us to leave as soon as possible, even with the restaurant almost empty and early in the evening. We went this last Sunday and she just came to table interrupting us every time in a rude way. She also took my credit card from my hand for her to make the payment.
