I've traveled a lot and stumbled upon many different bars and pubs. But this place takes the first spot till now. The environment lightened up just by small -not so strong- light gives set the atmosphere: shades dance on every movement the bartender and the customers make, taking part in a wonderful dance, following the rhythm of the cleverly chosen "old times" music. All blends perfectly with the choice of furniture and style of the place: the twenties are brought back to life here, from the chairs, to the tables, to the old school bottles lined up behind the counter, each one of them labeled -since they are all homemade. And this is another touch-of-class from this place: most of the liquors and ingredients are made from the employees. Cocktail list is unique, with paired flavours you didn't know could stand together, but when you drink them you ask yourself: why this is not a well-known combination? All is topped up by the extremely prepared staff, that can and will help you out in deciding what to drink, leaving you with the best experience a cocktail bar can give you ï-every time-. Shout out to Leo, the barman that served me: prepared, perfectly able to let me fit in, incredibly informed about all elements of the place and the cocktail list. Just Thank you for the memorable time i had. A MUST TRY if you visit Berlin. Would suggest...
Read moresuper nice experience! the staff is very friendly, their signature and classic cocktails are very well executed. The mixologer makes a nice show when prepping drinks. The staff look like they really know what they are doing, and they even accommodate making cocktails which are not part of their menu.
10 points for hospitality experience. They are well aware about how long should it take to order and get a drinks. If you’re waiting time is above average, they pay attention to it with small nice attentions, either a small snack or a courtesy shot. Tasty tasty 💯.
Price-wise, the average drink, is around 12-14eur. For the quality served, it’s a fair price. It wont break the bank unless you are super thirsty and plan to spend the whole night there…but in such case, you are probably very aware that you will be treating yourself very well.
The bar from outside is very unpretentious. You have to pay attention to few signs like the small one that says this bar is among the 50 best in Germany. From inside, the bar is dark, yet cozy. Nice ambience and play of textures with the rugs and decoration. I’ll definitely come back with more friends and taste more of the making. Try it put if you have a good appreciation for good nice drinks, without the urge of...
Read moreNo doubt, Salut! Bar is the best choice whether you are looking for a place to hang out with friends and enjoy some delicious drinks or you are the cocktail connoisseur who wants to travel back in time to the roaring ‘20s when classic bartending was at it’s best.
The menu has 7-8 own creations to offer and changes frequently not to mention the seasonal selection of interesting concoctions. Of course all classics are available as well. The backbar is packed with home made infusions, liqueurs, bitters and they use clear ice blocks for carving! There’s always some kind of experiment going on so don’t be afraid to ask for a sip!
The staff consists of carrier bartenders who provide professional service and are always ready to recommend interesting drinks according to your taste. I like to test the knowledge and passion of bartenders so go ahead and give it a try.
The interior, leather sofas and the bar design is just like it would have been in the early 1900s. Don’t forget you have to knock on the door in order to get in!
The only negative surprise can be the long waiting list in the winter time so make sure you book your...
