At a friend's recommendation, we went to check out this restaurant. Prior to Mamas Banh, we have been to a number of other Vietnamese restaurants during this trip to Berlin, so we did not set our expectation high in the food authenticity sense. But we were overwhelmed with the whole experience The food was authentic, we like to taste the flavor of the food that we grew up with, and Mamas Banh definitely delivered that. The Vietnamese pancake was a treat to the senses. The tapas selection of different wontons, dumplings and Vietnamese rolls were pleasant and remind us of food we eat in Vietnam. The wonton noodles is the only fusion dish we can say, an interesting fusion that is open to different palettes.
Food was delivered hot and that is to me always a plus. I love the exterior and the interior of the restaurant, very warm and cozy, really reflected well in the concept, Mama's homemade food.
The service was fast even though when we arrived it was pretty busy, almost a full house.
All in all, a pleasant experience for our family. We will definitely come back to support Mamas Banh if we visit Berlin again.
P.S. Our kids love the...
Read moreThis is hands down the best vietnamese restaurant you can visit in Berlin! I moved here in march and since have visited a bunch of different places to see the variety of places Berlin has to offer. Even if you have a lot of options in Berlin to eat vietnamese, only here you can get this amazing quality and service from the lovely and caring staff. My girlfriend, who has been to vietnam many times actually thinks it’s hard to find a place with that quality in Vietnam itself. And I guess that means something! My personal highlight is now the huge variety of Tapas to chose from, which I discovered way too late! Each one is special with a unique twist to it. The food is worth every single penny, fills your belly just right and gives you the great feeling of a very well balanced meal. In my opinion you can’t really pick something wrong, every dish I tried was amazing up...
Read moreI've visited many vietnamese restaurants in Berlin and even grew with that cuisine. To be honest, Mamas Banh is the modest and one of the best vietnamese restaurant in Berlin I've hit yet.
When I've heard that the owner opened a second restaurant, I took a visit there with my friends and we've ordered some tapas. Mamas Banh is famous for their authentic and delicious appetizers. We did shared those dishes and my friends were astounded of the taste. The quality didn't changed and remained the same as the last visit which was a few months ago. Afterwards, we've ordered the main dishes: Phở Bò, Chào Bánh Canh, Gà nướng and the Mi Udon Beef. I and my friends neither complained.
Nonetheless, it is worth to visit the restaurant. A plus point to the decoration and the friendly and helpful...
