Izakaya Yancha — Restaurant in Berlin

My bf and I decided to come in while walking near Frankfurter Tor without much expectation because we were hungry and just wanted to have something randomly. The restaurant is nicely decorated (with interesting One Piece arts, which makes my bf go crazy because he is a big fan). I personally really like the lights and how the colors are used. I went for a noodle with duck and I love it! I normally do not like noodle but this really changed it. I love how soft the egg is cooked, just perfect. My bf wanted some rice so he ordered something also with egg (and meat but I don’t know what kind). He also liked it so much that he made me learn how to cook the softly spreading egg (which I cannot) In general, I think it’s a really nice restaurant with good food and affordable price! Unfortunately the delivery was a catastrophe.. we ordered two Ramen amongst other things for guests at home, and the Ramen came without the broth.. calling the driver first, it turned out they had forgotten to pack it with the delivery package. The call with the restaurant was next to impossible due to language barrier, but it was promised, if we order again (40 Euro more to pay), the correct delivery will come and the money order will be canceled. Guess what - it never happened. I still wait for my money two weeks after the alleged 'deal' or substitute delivery, that supposedly was meant to be free of charge. Very unreliable, thieving operators. bad promises and no good service. The rest of the food was mediocre at best.. ;-( No...

Very nice Japanese fusion restaurant close to Frankfurter tor. Went there 2 times in the same weeks as we liked it so much! Lot of vegetarian and vegan friendly options and a cute atmosphere (they even played anime songs from time to time) The waiters are extremely kind & friendly (which is very rare in Berlin) & the food is tasty & has good prices. We tried the vegan gyoza, the vegetarian ramen, the Vegan don, the soba dish & the takoyaki. Honestly, it’s one of my favorite restaurants to go in Berlin: uncomplicated, cute & friendly.
