OM Coffee & Brunch — Restaurant in Berlin

I was hesitant to come on here and write a bad review, which I seldom do, but it feels a bit unfair that this place inherited the positive ratings and reviews of the coffee shop that used to be here, because this place has really disappointed me ever since taking over this location.

As an establishment marketing itself to the international community of Berlin, I find the quality of food to be offensive for the prices they are asking. I have had similar meals with higher quality ingredients and better recipes for much less money all over Berlin.

After visiting time and time again, I have never received my coffee in less than five minutes after ordering, and often have to wait a long time to make or receive my order, even if there is only one person ahead of me in line. I wanted to also talk about the decor and lighting, but I am worried if I comment on it, this will just sound like I am griping.

I’ve worked in the service industry for 13+ years and can say most of these conditions are due to poor management and a lack of proper consultation.

No one asked for my advice but my words of wisdom would be to simplify and reduce everything. Focus on making a smaller list of items offered at a higher quality, and have enough people working front of house to help customers before they consider leaving. Get rid of the €10 card minimum (embarrassing for customers), and declutter the space. It couldn’t hurt to also watch a few episodes of “Tabatha Takes Over”.

Lastly, if you are going to name your business in honor of the Vedic principles of “Om”, allow some representation of divinity or the path to liberation to be legible in how you run your space. Let it be the compass by which guests are welcomed into your...

Bit disappointed to be honest. We read a lot of great reviews about this place. I wanted a nitro coffee latte and the girl barista politely said that there was none left but the boy barista intervened and said he could still make one. There must have been not enough left as it was taking a long time, more than 20mins for it to come AND it did not taste nice at all, to be honest it taste of frothy milk, not even a taste of coffee. If I would have known it would take so long and taste so bad I would have just ordered something else. The biggest shock was when we were paying the girl barista asked me "was it nice, be honest" which suggested she knew it was not great, and when I said no she did not even say sorry or offer to reduce the cost which was almost €5. I feel the girl knew there wasn't enough left as she seemed confused when the boy said he would make one. Eine wirkliche Enttäuschung.

Ich habe selten so schlecht gegessen wie hier. Auf den Fotos sieht das Essen, sowie das Café wirklich ansprechend und süß aus. Leider trügt der Schein und man bekommt ein Paket aus schlechtem Service, grauenhaftem Essen und viel zu lauter Atmosphäre.

Wenn man bedenkt wie klein das Menü ist, sollte man meinen, dass die wenigen Gerichte auf der Karte zumindest mit viel Liebe und Können zubereitet werden.

Allerdings ist das ein Trugschluss und ich Frage mich wirklich, wie anspruchslos die Kundschaft sein muss, um das Restaurant ernsthaft so positiv zu bewerten.

Angefangen mit den Getränken, die mit 30 Minuten Abstand voneinander bei uns am Tisch gelandet sind, mussten wir beim Smoothie sogar nochmal nachfragen, ob er schlichtweg vergessen wurde.

Als unser Essen kam, ist mir vor Schreck fast die Luft weggeblieben. Das "French Toast mit Beeren" war ein Trauerspiel und das "Avocado Toast" eine ziemliche Enttäuschung. Der Geruch war im übrigen auch besorgniserregend.

Das French Toast war kalt. Von einer knusprigen, frisch angebratenen Außenseite fehlte jede Spur. Im Inneren offenbarte sich ein noch größeres Grauen. Das Toast war getränkt in Sirup, Karamellsauce - die billige, aus der Tube - und billiger weißer Schokoladen Sauce. Man ist hier wohl den "Wonder Waffle" Weg gegangen, in der Hoffnung den Geschmack durch eine Überdosis Zucker herbeizuführen.

Frisch geht anders. Das war mit Abstand das schlechteste French Toast meines Lebens. Wenn man es überhaupt als solches bezeichnen kann.

Das Avocado Toast war unglaublich langweilig. Keine frische Avocado. Stattdessen Avocado Püree. Gemischt mit Butter, um die Pampe zu strecken und noch fettiger zu machen. Gewürze sind hier auch ein Fremdwort und außer dem bisschen Puder auf dem Brot nicht auffindbar. Geschmacklich absolut unterirdisch und definitiv nicht das Geld Wert.

Im großen und ganzen wirklich nicht zu empfehlen. Das Geld, das ihr hier ausgebt, gemeinsam mit der verschwendeten Lebenszeit, in der ihr vergeblich auf Eure Bestellung wartet, ist besser genutzt, wenn ihr Euch die Zutaten im Supermarkt selbst kauft und euer eigenes Frühstück kocht.
