To say this place is a joke is an understatement. Never in my entire 11 years of living in Berlin have I encountered a place that is as amateuristic, underwhelming and disorganized as this one. We placed an order online four hours in advance, only to arrive on time and being told in the most indifferent manner that the cook hadn't even started on our order, that it would take another 40 minutes to make two arepas, and as if that wasn't enough, the waiter/cook tried to tell us that we had changed the pickup time ourselves, only to ask if he should start making our order now. Aside from that the order wasn't made as it was supposed to and all the sauces were dumped into the arepas instead of supplying them separately in our to go order. Not a single apology was given, no discounts, and to add insult to injury, we were given an attitude and indirectly told that were liars. I don't know how companies like this manage to exist with such an amateuristic approach but one thing is for sure. I'm definitely never spending my money here again. My advice, Avoid this place like the plague and go find quality Venezuelan food elsewhere because they surely don't know how...
Read moreIf you're looking for authentic and delicious Venezuelan food in Berlin, Ruben's Arepas is the place to go. The arepas are freshly made and filled with a variety of mouth-watering ingredients, from classic cheese and meat to more adventurous vegetarian and vegan options, ecen Tequeños. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a great spot for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner. The prices are also very reasonable, especially given the quality of the food. The only downside is that the restaurant can get quite busy during peak hours, so it's best to go early or be prepared to wait for a table. Overall, Ruben's Arepas is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious and authentic Venezuelan...
Read moreSmall cute restaurant with a true Berlin vibe. Food was full of flavor, and surprisingly big portion. One of the best dishes I've eaten in Berlin during my 2 years stay.
I usually stay away from restaurants such as taco places, due to bad price to food ratio, so I was initially also suspicious of this place. However was pleasantly surprised! Ordering a side dish (fries) and the veggie arepa, was almost too much food. And price for the quality of food was also spot on. 8€ for arepa, and 5€ for a side dish.
Really, I was blown away by the taste combinations in the veggie arepa. It was so good 😭😍 Will come again for sure. And definitely recommend the place. Keep it...
