I went there with my boyfriend having no idea what was on the menu; I'm a vegetarian and not a big fan of cheese, which is why I couldn't find a dish I could consider tasty enough to order. My boyfriend wanted to leave, but I thought that would be rude and suggested that we at least order a drink before leaving, just to support the venue. As we were sitting and waiting for our drinks, I heard the waiter and another man (the owner, I think?) complaining in Italian that we had not ordered food, saying that 'it is an excuse many people use not to order because it is expensive'. I was shocked by the rudeness of the whole situation! Maybe you should be more careful talking about your customers while they are sitting right next to you, because you were lucky enough to be talking right next to an Italian person who could understand everything you said. I am not leaving one star because I did not try the food, but the Aperol Spritz was not the best. You should definitely shower in kindness before...

Last time we went the appetizers were extremely disappointing, as was the service. The waiter just threw the bread on our table and was snide & dismissive. Dessert was mediocre at best. The entrees were still delicious, but the rest of our dining experience here was so negative, sad to say I probably won't return & I'll definitely stop recommending this place.]
Lovely, welcoming staff who quickly made room for us even though it was a busy night and we didn't have a reservation! The special dishes we ordered were spectacular- the duck ragout pasta from the regular menu was also delicious, but I think the special menu here is where you'll find a truly extraordinary dining experience. Incredible risotto and the best antipasti I've ever had. Beautiful atmosphere as well....
Read moreLovely place with a great cook and waiter, but.... there is a but. First of all portions. Far too small, or, if you like, a bit expensive. For the portions they serve I would have expected more reasonable prices. Worst of it all was seeing the ravioli arrive in the number of.... 5! Good for a starter, but at that price nowhere near what is supposed to be a main meal. Also, the Calamarata pasta should have far more mussles than those we saw arriving, it basically was a pasta & fagioli (=beans) with the spare mussle here and there. I would also like to see a wider choice in the menu. I'm a fan of small menus, they reflect freshness of the ingredients and the chef's focus while buying his ingredients out at the market in the morning, but variety is key. For example, you should never have all meat or fish based dishes with no vegetarian option.... That said, I repeat, the place is lovely and staff are very nice, let's hope they address these...
