Gelateria Mos Eisley — Restaurant in Berlin

Ok, so five stars just for the name because, you know, Star Wars and 'eis'. Pun intended. :)

Maybe I'm just spoiled with the portions you get in most ice cream parlours back home, but so far, in, Berlin, all the servings from all places I've visited so far have not been very generous and this place was no exception. Friendly service though. English-speaking. But the flavours..oh my..

'Zitrone'. 5/5, just the perfect amount of lemony flavour.

'Schokolade'. 4/5, a bit too much flavour for me, but still it grew on me. If you're a fan of dark, unsweetened chocolate you'll LOVE this flavour.

'Sizilianische Pistazie'. 6/5, yes, six out of five. This was flavour was so good I wanted to marry it. Come to this place for this flavour alone. I only got few a more days in town but I'll definitely try to make time to come back here.

Update. So I just had to come back here one more time before I left Berlin. I had the 'Sizilianische Pistazie' again, and was still as awesome as the first time. The 'Stracciatella' flavour seemed like a pretty standard fare to me. Vanilla with tiny crushed pieces of chocolate. 3/5. The 'Mandel-erdbeer-keks' flavour tasted a bit artificial to me, but my friend liked it very much so maybe it's just me. 3/5.

This is a high-quality ice cream product but not among the top 10 in Berlin. The ice cream is thick and creamy. They have around ten different flavors, a mix of fruity and creamy. The shop offers limited outdoor seating and no indoor seating. I enjoyed their cheesecake and mango flavor. Their chocolate one is decent but not among the best in Berlin. The scoop size is also not among the most generous in town, and for almost 2 euros per scoop, the only expectations are high. As a result, this is a good ice cream if you are in the area. Everybody knows that ice-cream needs to be extra creamy to be tasty - and I have to say some vegan ones don't achieve that. Not the case of this one here, I didn't even know it was vegan until I checked the reviews. Amazing, 5 stars, great service.
