Had brunch here today. A young man, apparently under the influence, shouting at the air and gesticulating spent some time in front of the terrace. I sat inside so I was not aware of anyone from the staff approaching him. When I left he was a few meters beyond the terrace, just not visible from the cafe counter. As I passed him, completely unexpected, he lunged out, kicked my dog across the pavement, screamed in my face and spat on me, continued shouting and raising his fists toward me. I immediately moved where there were more people at the, crossed the road and called the cafe to alert them. But…. Their phone was off 🤷♀️
The lack of action and disregard for accountability make this a predators paradise, clearly why this guy felt so at home in his position and quite safe attacking me. It’s pointless to comment on the food or service, no meal is worth the risk. Take accountability for patron safety. And get a functioning phone, it’s literally a business expense you can write off on your tax return. Extremely shocked and...
Read moreAbsolutely negative surprise in every respect. Especially looking at the ratings of other guests. Maybe we just didn't hit a good dish from the menu, but their most expensive burger was significantly below the level of McDonald's. The meat was ground to pulp, zero taste, the level of mass production for the supermarket. It is certainly not prepared on site. Definitely a menu item to avoid. Smoothies were quite acceptable. We waited almost an hour for the main course after ordering. We had to place the order ourselves because no one was interested in us, nor in cleaning the table after the previous guests. The restaurant was almost empty, so I don't know why there were such delays. The waiter did apologize for this, but what good is it when the food was at a dramatic level. Let's add to this the cost of €50 for 2 burgers and 2 smoothies plus coffee and we get a very questionable option for lunch. Unfortunately, we will not return to try other menu items. It's a shame because the place...
Read moreI was very excited to stumble across this new place just around the corner from my work. Beautifully designed restaurant with a big terrace (hence the name), lots of natural light, modern, colourful furnishings and nice artistic touches, fresh flowers on the table, etc. The cakes and pastries looked sooo good - I will be back to try them soon enough. Breakfast, brunch, lunch etc. Service was great and the food was sensational. This part of Prenzlauer Berg / Pankow has been a a bit of a black hole when it comes to interesting dining, so it is a very...
