LIMONADIER Cocktailbar — Restaurant in Berlin

I have travelled in more than 40 countries and visited Berlin a dozen times and this is the rudest service I have ever experienced.

My girlfriend and I were visiting from Denmark together with our friend from Namibia and his German wife. When we arrived to Limonadier there were noone outside and noone at the entrance to the bar. We saw that there were an empty table so we went there to sit down and put our coats.

However, the table was filled with empty glasses etc. so I thought I would help out by bringing the glasses to the bar, since I thought that would be helpful.

In doing so, a waiter came up to me and scolded me for clearing the table and told me that I should let them do their jobs. He was extremely condescending and went on to ask if we had been seated there or if we just chose to sit down ourselves (it was an empty four persons table, and there were noone else waiting in line).

He then basically kicked us out by asking us to step outside. At that point, the four of us already agreed that we did not want to spend our money at a place with such rude service, so I told him to behave properly towards other people and then we left.

In my opinion, someone with this attitude should not be working in the service industry and I was happy that we found another nice bar close by with friendly and professional service so he did not ruin...

Positiv: Wir haben für 8 Personen reserviert und unsere Wünsche im Nichtraucher-Bereich zu sitzen wurden erfüllt. Die Karte hat viele spannende Kreationen zur Auswahl, die soweit auch gut waren. An jedem Tisch steht gratis stilles Wasser und Knabberein bereit. Neutral: Für die Größe der Gläser waren die Preise im oberen Bereich. Aber gut, wir wollten es ja fancy. Der Kellner sprach nur englisch. Für uns kein Problem, für manch anderen, der gerade die angepriesene Beratung sucht, schon. Negativ: Und leider überwiegen die negativen Punkte. Eine wirkliche Beratung von seitens des Kellners war nicht möglich. Er hatte einfach keine Ahnung. Ich wollte doch tatsächlich einen alkoholfreien Cocktail. Ich kenne keine GUTE Cocktailbar, in der das ein Problem darstellt. Der Kellner war damit völlig überfordert und bot mir Limonade an. Dafür gehe ich aber nicht in eine Bar. Also gut, EINEN Cocktail bekommt der Barkeeper wohl ohne Alkohol hin. War nur leider nicht die versprochene Zusammensetzung. Statt Rosmarinsirup, gab es Salbeisirup. 3 Leute haben ihn versucht und wir alle haben Salbei geschmeckt. Das wurde aber vom Kellner geleugnet. Könne nicht sein. Und einen anderen alkoholfreien Cocktail gäbe es nicht. Ganz ehrlich, in so einer hochpreisigen Cocktailbar, die sich auf die Fahnen schreibt, im Zweifel auch frei nach ihrem Geschmacksrad zu mixen, ist das ein absolutes Armutszeugnis. Der Wunsch nach einem einfachen Mojito wurde ebenfalls abgelehnt. Würden sie nicht machen. (Im Nachhinein vermuten wir, dass sie einfach keine frischen Limetten hatten. Hätte man so sagen können, hätte für mehr Verständnis gesorgt.) Und zu guter Letzt, für Leute die wirklich keinen Rauch mögen, ist die Bar nichts. Auch die Abzugsanlage hat Grenzen und Raucher- und Nichtraucherbereich grenzen direkt aneinander. Wir saßen also mitten im Zigarettenqualm. Und zu guter Letzt, wir wollten eigentlich um 20:30 reservieren. Da hieß es, das ginge nicht. Spätestens 20:00 mit max. einer halben Stunde Verspätung. Wir waren 20:15 da, bis wir geganganen sind waren um uns herum 4 Tische leer. Warum die spätere Uhrzeit nicht möglich war, ist nicht nachvollziehbar.

Fazit: Fancy Cocktailbar mit arrogantem Gehabe, die leckere Cocktails zu teuren Preisen macht, dabei aber leider ihrem eigenen Anspruch an Beratung und Kundenfreundlichkeit nicht...
