Spontaneously walked into Maselli Ristorante Italiano with two friends — and what a discovery! This place truly feels like a hidden gem. From the very first bite, it was clear: every dish is prepared with real care and passion. The ingredients are fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. Portions are generous, and for the quality you get, the prices are more than fair. The atmosphere is warm and cosy, and the staff incredibly attentive without being overbearing. Authentic food (meaning delicious!), friendly service, and a very charming ambiance. This is my favorite restaurant in Berlin, because it is classy, affordable, and the food is always great. It is ideal for a date, a celebration, a night out with friends, or to bring visiting family. I recommend starting with an apero spritz, make sure not to miss the stracciatella (picture creamy, gooey, fantastic mozzarella), order some wine with your meal, and end with an espresso and some grappa. What a wonderful restaurant. We have lived in Rome, Calabria, and Sicily, and we have not had better than the food at Maselli. The caponata was sublime and incredibly tasty. The burrata salad with melanzana was delightfully fresh and flavorful. The pork chop was delicious, moist, tender, and plentiful. Kudos to Chef Pasqale!
